E-cigarettes/Vapor devices

I know..they are quite the fashion statement now..might as well go all out..it's for a good cause after all..

keep up the good work...

ok, i found nicotine nirvana. the difference between the skinny 250mAh batteries with prefilled cartridges and the higher voltage machines with a liquid tank is night and day, a whole 'nother world. i should've listened to jth, frixxxx, and other friends who told me right at the start. instead i had to figure it out for myself, but figure it out i did! this setup rocks!

a 650mAh or better joye tech battery with a kanger tank and some eliquid is all you need. instead of trying to suck molasses through a straw, you can get a hit that will knock you on your a** and make your eyes water. woo hoo! heaven!

from an engineering perspective, what an elegant solution. 4 simple parts: tank, tip, screw on base, and atomizer. only the atomizer is a consumable, they are cheap, and there is a variety of ohms to help dial in your preference. kanger evod2 or evod glass is the way to go for me. so simple and robust, brilliant!

i got the 1000mAh battery which is about 1" longer than the 650mAh battery. also the twist variable voltage option adds another inch, the unit is over 7" long. that is overkill, but i didn't understand from the internet pictures without the benefit of expert help in person. the extra mAh adds time to length of use charge but uneccessary and unwieldy and don't add any more kick. just get 2 650's, each is plenty to get through a work day. the bigger ones are perfect for car commute or home, they just go and go. the variable voltage from 3.2 to 4.8 does increase kick, but not really needed.

different voltage settings change the flavor profile of different flavors. i had been switching between a mellow 'red' flavor and a harsher 'sahara' flavor but they taste different through the tanks. the sahara at 4.0 made me choke and cough like cheech and chong. the red at 3.6 is great, almost an exact match for what i was trying to replace, but just fine at 3.2 volts also. if you want to quit smoking take $125 and get 2 650mAh batteries, a usb charger, 4 kanger evod tanks, 8 spare atomizers, and a bottle each of an american and a turkish tobacco mix liquid. you will never look back.

i got them in black and stainless colors. the black one looks like a magic wand with silver tips. it is big, so is the stainless one. i only use them in the car or home because i don't want to be seen sucking on a big black or shiny unit out front at work. i feel like john holmes but look like harry potter. i always wondered what john holmes felt like. wait, that didn't sound right. i always wondered what it would feel like to be john holmes. yeah, that sounds better.

who cares, i'm all nic'd up, this ecig setup is da bomb.

Go buy some of those nicotine patches for emergencies if you can't stand it without a fix. Give Me Shelter! LISTEN!!!!!!
TURN IT UP
Anyone that can dance with those shoes is BAD!!!

They won't fit well in your shirt pocket, they don't need to be kept upright, some tanks may leak a little but most of the newer models don't. You should be happy with the hardware upgrade, those skinny e-cig cartomizer setups suck. Once you get it dialed in, you will never want to go back to your old setup. Next time you're in San Antonio, come pay me a visit and we'll run by my local vaping store :)

thanks cuz. having a bad day. i appreciate it.

we don't have vape stores out here. a new tobacco shop opened up about 80 miles northeast away but the road to there is a death trap now and they charge oil patch prices. the next 2 big shops are either 250 miles one way or 175 the other. so i am stuck waiting on the mail. i wonder if there is a secret language usps folks speak where i could call one up and get my package delivered today under the table?

i hope people are nice to me today because i am about to flip out and i don't need any more trouble, i barely talked my way out of it the last time this happened.

well, on or about the weekend of july 4th i fell off the tobacco wagon. i had a very stressful personal event and then spent the weekend around folks who smoke. some of the people are family so it is not like i can just quit hanging out with them, i'll just have to get better at making those decisions. but the good news is as soon as i got home i went right back to the ecigs.

the bad news is the company i have been ordering from has backordered the refillable blanks i am using with the eliquid. they are finicky and hold only a small amount of juice and don't last as long as i thought before the wicks get burnt. i only have one operable unit now and it is on its last legs. i also ordered a pack of 40 cartidges on a screaming hot deal but they got backordered too. the company sent me 20 of a different brand to tide me over but i am on my last one of those today too. and none of the backorders have even shipped yet so i am screwed. i'm staring at over 250 ml of eliquid inventory with no way to use it. now i've never been charged let alone arrested, but this must be what it feels like to have a playboy collection in prison. all dressed up and nowhere to go.

so on friday i took matters into my own hands and ordered an industrial setup. it was totally confusing to figure out which parts and pieces fit together, but they better work or i am going to freak out tomorrow. according to the usps tracker, the package is sitting in the post office right now to be delivered to my work tomorrow afternoon. i want to drive over there and break in and choke the sh*t out of any postal worker that gets in my way and take posession of my mail today, but then i would probably end up in prison, which for multiple reasons is unlikely to work out well for me.

maybe some of the vapers here can help me with some advice on how to use the new setup? i ordered 2 ego c twist batteries at 1000mAh, 4 kanger tanks, extra atomizers, a charger and a case. my old brand can be laid down, stood on end, shook up and not leak. i am going to get as many carts from my old company to make up for the backorder as i can milk them for and use them as a compact convenient backup to toss in the glove box or field bag or slip in my shirt pocket.

do the new big juice tanks need to be kept upright? do they fit discreetly in the breast pocket of a button down casual shirt for work? how do other folks carry theirs around? any hints or tips?

today i am stressing out about nicotine. tomorrow i will either be in vape heaven or jail.

thanks cuz, thank you for your support.

did you know your taste buds change? and you can actually smell stuff when you quit smoking? pretty cool, total bonus.
No problemo bro..

BTW..those that say you taste more stuff too..is bull..I think food and certain other seafood like items all taste just as good as before..(I'll not mention what those other "seafood like" items are..I think you know what I mean;))

Keep up the good effort..don't lapse at all to the regs..you're just f'king with your head when you do.

lots to say but not enough time. short hand version:

3+ weeks clear of analog tobacco now, and loving the digital nicotine delivery. standing around chatting and was offered a smoke and said no. but the smell of 2nd hand smoke gave me goosebumps and made my mouth water and i involuntarily drew a deep breath and looked back for a second but did not bite.

regular wick carts bad, extra tank carts not so bad. atomizers good, much deeper and richer flavor. manual batteries good, heavier and thicker hit. going to have to go pro at some point instead of small frequent recharges on slim batteries and low volume refillable atomizers.

2 months plus of nicotine in stock in a format that works for me right now. if i keep vaping then i'll need to step up to industrial hardware at some point, or else just quit. i'm never going back to analogs though for a daily solution, if i do just shoot me, i'd rather be dead quick than dead slow anyhow. but i already know i will from time to time give in and have a smoke. i'm not buying any packs though, that is just dumb expensive.

Yes burro, vaping is getting real popular around my workplace too. Local and agency rules treat vaping the same as smoking so they all come to the Leper Colony to vape. They say they enjoy the second hand smoke and occasionally whip out a pack of cigarettes and light up. Some of the rigs these guys have are amazing. They are always showing each other how many they have and how big they are. So far only males seem to be vaping. Females seem to congregate in a different authorized smoking area. I have found a new place, not officially authorized but far enough away from any oxygen breathing entity (discount snakes and lizards) to be legal and not have to listen to the bragging about how big it is and how many features it has. They started inviting each other to suck on each other's devices so I moved away. There are no safe sanctuaries for smokers any longer.

Yeah BT, I know, I know.

i can relate po, i too have my own personal outdoor leper colony to which i retreat and vape in solitude. it's all about the nicotine delivery and not the social aspects of fake smoking. which is good because out of about 40 employees in my building i am the only one who vapes, so if i was going out to check out other folks' units i would be pretty lonely.

mine is just a simple affair resembling a cigarette not a spaceship. it came with an auto battery and a manual push button one. i burnt out the auto one but the company replaced it with a manual one of similar design in the color of my choice. also i was gifted some accessories with another auto one so i have 3 in the rotation now. 1 in use, 1 on deck, and 1 charging. i can see the beauty of a more powerful battery with customizable features to dial in the perfect hit, but i'm not there yet. i'm barely 2-1/2 weeks away from my last cigarette and happy enough about that so far.

when i first realized i could get away from smokes and committed to vaping, i panicked when i was about to run out so i placed 3 different orders and now have enough nicotine inventory to make it through july, at least. i haven't even tried the eliquid with refillable carts yet. i got this sample pack and have been trying out different flavors in between carts of my favorite familiar tobacco flavored ones.

at first the cola tastes like diet pepsi, cherry like a cheap candy made with sweetnlo or spenda instead of sugar. but then my taste buds got used to them and i like them for variety now. i was surprised i actually liked the grean tea menthol flavor because i was never into menthol and i'm not some new age health nut hippie, but it wasn't too bad. i will probably order some flavors in liquid and mix to see what happens, like coffee with some vanilla or something. i wish they made an orange creamsicle flavor. or even better rainbow popsicle flavors like the gals on roller skates used to get from the ice cream man when he'd stop the truck at the trailer park when i was a kid.

ha! it's funny the things you never paid much attention to before until you have something in common.

i go into the store to pay for my fuel and as i'm leaving the gal asks me 'what, no smokes'? i said no, it's been almost 2 weeks, i'm using these ecigs now. she says 'oh, let me see'. it turns out she vapes too. that is why no ashtray on top of the ice machine outside the door anymore. that detail had been bugging me for a while but now i get it.

so i show her my little battery and cartridge setup and she says 'oh, that's nice' and reaches under the counter and grabs her purse and pulls out this device. i immediately blushed and felt inadequate. that thing was huge. it was all shiny metal and big and round and about 8" long with buttons and knobs and even a little video screen on it. she even showed me how it works and tried to get me to suck on it.

no way! no way am i going to pull something like that out of my purse in public! or in private for that matter. i'm afraid somebody would mistake it for one of those, uhh, i'm not sure how to say this, umm, this is a little embarassing, uhh, personal massagers, like a pocket rocket or something.

apparently, some folks take their vaping pretty seriously. i wouldn't even know where to go to buy something like that. i get mine off the internet.
