E-cigarettes/Vapor devices

uh-huh..Oh yeah, that was the year they didn't teach kids to use the shift key when typing the first letter of proper nouns and at the beginning of sentences....Oh and BTW..you should of use a rubber..:suspicious::cheesy:

buster, i know the caps thing bothers you, but please understand it is a very important work i do.

my job is to keep the capital letters karma in balance. i don't use caps to offset all the aholes that use all caps and shout over the web all the time.

once in a while you'll see me use caps, that is when i have finally got caught up and can take a break for a second or two.

thanks alot rmi, you just set me back some.

jth and frixxxx: i appreciate your inputs about the atomizers/cartomizers.

i probably should've listened to my friend about the expensive setup. but as usual, i generally only arrive at a solution after wandering naked and alone through the wilderness and ignoring the counseling of those wiser than me. but i'm working on that part. anyways, this is more of a personal struggle and i guess it was important for me to find my own path.

i was discouraged i had ordered some liquid because i knew i would not have the patience to tediously refill and reuse individual carts. the instructions were to pry off one end and fill, then wipe dry and resnap on the little cap, wait 20 minutes before using, and hope it doesn't leak in your pocket. they didn't quite say it that way, but i can read between the lines. also i suck the life out of each cart so all the ones i had saved to refill have burnt wicks already.

after your posts i found these that will fit my batteries with a quick change screw off cap and visible resevoir so you can refill before it drys out. they say good for 20 uses. if it is something i like, i think i can take the cost per pack equivalent down to about $0.70.

i am ordering 3 today with my emergency quick ship order since i am going to run out of carts this evening or tomorrow morning. when the free slow shipping order with bulk order of carts and a bottle of eliquid shows up later this week or early next, i will be able to try it out in a fast refill format i maybe can deal with. that will give me some time to decide if it will work for me before i place another slow free shipping order and i'll have at least a month of nicotine in inventory so hopefully can stay ahead of the curve and not run low and panic before the next order arrives.

on a side note, i decided i will not be buying 4-5 packs of real smokes to get by for the next few days. there is a quickmart in the next town over that sells disposable ecigs, terribly expensive, but i have not had a real smoke since last tuesday and smoking real ones for days will take me right back to square one again. this is my 3rd multiday run with no real smokes and the longest, i've got a good headstart and i'm not looking back.

bUSTER, i DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE SUPPOSED TO USE THE SHIFT KEY... i GUESS THEY DIDN'T TEACH THAT IN kEYBOARDING cLASS IN hIGH sCHOOL...
Actually, it should have been taught in first or second grade. ONLY needed for proper writing and to show your level of education and average intelligence. To show you are properly educated, you will capitalize Proper Nouns, First letters of the first word of every new sentence and if you refer to yourself as "I". None the less, ignorance will always prevail in some. But as Maxwell said, DO NOT type or write every letter in caps, because it is perceived as yelling...So tone it down a little RMI, will ya?!?

I was fortunate to never get addicted to cigs when I was younger. I've considered trying the nicotine free e-cigs, because I hear they are good to prevent you from snacking, which is one of my addictions. I have lung problems from Desert Storm, so I'm hoping the e-cigs won't make the problem worse. It's a shame that government is trying to regulate e-cigs like the regular cigs. Anything to get an extra buck outta taxpayers.

i can't see a single good reason to smoke: expensive damaging to health and budget, it's not cool, it stinks. the only reason is get nicotine.

the same holds largely true for vaping, just less damaging to health with out the tar and particulates, easier on the budget but still is an expense, still not cool, but it doesn't stink or expose those around you to the damaging effects. again, the only reason is to deliver nicotine.

at least that's how i see it.

i would suggest you enjoy a good candy bar or bag of chips and laugh inside at the dumb smokers and slightly less dumb vapers and their weakness for nicotine.

the vapor does seem to help with my breathing, which has started to get better almost immediately after quiting the real smoke. i don't know that there would be much value in that to a nonsmoker though.

No problem, just showing they didn't teach me about shift-lock in keyboarding neither...

ok, i'm totally on board with the vaping. greatest thing since sliced bread. and i don't even really like sliced bread. the automatic just suck batteries that come with the kit, well they suck. the manual push button are mo better, so i ordered another one8.

i haven't even tried the liquid refillable atomizers yet. i am going to keep blowing through these carts as much as i want until tuesday which will be 2 weeks clear of the real smokes, i hate those f*ckin things. i don't even think about buying them anymore as long as i have liq nic carts in the car. i got this zipper case that holds 3 batteries and 7 carts. if i pack them in there outside of normal slots i can have almost a week's worth of nicotine in one handy spot. that is important to me.

next week i will start the liquid refillables.

ha! it's funny the things you never paid much attention to before until you have something in common.

i go into the store to pay for my fuel and as i'm leaving the gal asks me 'what, no smokes'? i said no, it's been almost 2 weeks, i'm using these ecigs now. she says 'oh, let me see'. it turns out she vapes too. that is why no ashtray on top of the ice machine outside the door anymore. that detail had been bugging me for a while but now i get it.

so i show her my little battery and cartridge setup and she says 'oh, that's nice' and reaches under the counter and grabs her purse and pulls out this device. i immediately blushed and felt inadequate. that thing was huge. it was all shiny metal and big and round and about 8" long with buttons and knobs and even a little video screen on it. she even showed me how it works and tried to get me to suck on it.

no way! no way am i going to pull something like that out of my purse in public! or in private for that matter. i'm afraid somebody would mistake it for one of those, uhh, i'm not sure how to say this, umm, this is a little embarassing, uhh, personal massagers, like a pocket rocket or something.

apparently, some folks take their vaping pretty seriously. i wouldn't even know where to go to buy something like that. i get mine off the internet.

Yes burro, vaping is getting real popular around my workplace too. Local and agency rules treat vaping the same as smoking so they all come to the Leper Colony to vape. They say they enjoy the second hand smoke and occasionally whip out a pack of cigarettes and light up. Some of the rigs these guys have are amazing. They are always showing each other how many they have and how big they are. So far only males seem to be vaping. Females seem to congregate in a different authorized smoking area. I have found a new place, not officially authorized but far enough away from any oxygen breathing entity (discount snakes and lizards) to be legal and not have to listen to the bragging about how big it is and how many features it has. They started inviting each other to suck on each other's devices so I moved away. There are no safe sanctuaries for smokers any longer.

Yeah BT, I know, I know.

i can relate po, i too have my own personal outdoor leper colony to which i retreat and vape in solitude. it's all about the nicotine delivery and not the social aspects of fake smoking. which is good because out of about 40 employees in my building i am the only one who vapes, so if i was going out to check out other folks' units i would be pretty lonely.

mine is just a simple affair resembling a cigarette not a spaceship. it came with an auto battery and a manual push button one. i burnt out the auto one but the company replaced it with a manual one of similar design in the color of my choice. also i was gifted some accessories with another auto one so i have 3 in the rotation now. 1 in use, 1 on deck, and 1 charging. i can see the beauty of a more powerful battery with customizable features to dial in the perfect hit, but i'm not there yet. i'm barely 2-1/2 weeks away from my last cigarette and happy enough about that so far.

when i first realized i could get away from smokes and committed to vaping, i panicked when i was about to run out so i placed 3 different orders and now have enough nicotine inventory to make it through july, at least. i haven't even tried the eliquid with refillable carts yet. i got this sample pack and have been trying out different flavors in between carts of my favorite familiar tobacco flavored ones.

at first the cola tastes like diet pepsi, cherry like a cheap candy made with sweetnlo or spenda instead of sugar. but then my taste buds got used to them and i like them for variety now. i was surprised i actually liked the grean tea menthol flavor because i was never into menthol and i'm not some new age health nut hippie, but it wasn't too bad. i will probably order some flavors in liquid and mix to see what happens, like coffee with some vanilla or something. i wish they made an orange creamsicle flavor. or even better rainbow popsicle flavors like the gals on roller skates used to get from the ice cream man when he'd stop the truck at the trailer park when i was a kid.

lots to say but not enough time. short hand version:

3+ weeks clear of analog tobacco now, and loving the digital nicotine delivery. standing around chatting and was offered a smoke and said no. but the smell of 2nd hand smoke gave me goosebumps and made my mouth water and i involuntarily drew a deep breath and looked back for a second but did not bite.

regular wick carts bad, extra tank carts not so bad. atomizers good, much deeper and richer flavor. manual batteries good, heavier and thicker hit. going to have to go pro at some point instead of small frequent recharges on slim batteries and low volume refillable atomizers.

2 months plus of nicotine in stock in a format that works for me right now. if i keep vaping then i'll need to step up to industrial hardware at some point, or else just quit. i'm never going back to analogs though for a daily solution, if i do just shoot me, i'd rather be dead quick than dead slow anyhow. but i already know i will from time to time give in and have a smoke. i'm not buying any packs though, that is just dumb expensive.

Keep up the good effort..don't lapse at all to the regs..you're just f'king with your head when you do.

thanks cuz, thank you for your support.

did you know your taste buds change? and you can actually smell stuff when you quit smoking? pretty cool, total bonus.

No problemo bro..

BTW..those that say you taste more stuff too..is bull..I think food and certain other seafood like items all taste just as good as before..(I'll not mention what those other "seafood like" items are..I think you know what I mean;))

well, on or about the weekend of july 4th i fell off the tobacco wagon. i had a very stressful personal event and then spent the weekend around folks who smoke. some of the people are family so it is not like i can just quit hanging out with them, i'll just have to get better at making those decisions. but the good news is as soon as i got home i went right back to the ecigs.

the bad news is the company i have been ordering from has backordered the refillable blanks i am using with the eliquid. they are finicky and hold only a small amount of juice and don't last as long as i thought before the wicks get burnt. i only have one operable unit now and it is on its last legs. i also ordered a pack of 40 cartidges on a screaming hot deal but they got backordered too. the company sent me 20 of a different brand to tide me over but i am on my last one of those today too. and none of the backorders have even shipped yet so i am screwed. i'm staring at over 250 ml of eliquid inventory with no way to use it. now i've never been charged let alone arrested, but this must be what it feels like to have a playboy collection in prison. all dressed up and nowhere to go.

so on friday i took matters into my own hands and ordered an industrial setup. it was totally confusing to figure out which parts and pieces fit together, but they better work or i am going to freak out tomorrow. according to the usps tracker, the package is sitting in the post office right now to be delivered to my work tomorrow afternoon. i want to drive over there and break in and choke the sh*t out of any postal worker that gets in my way and take posession of my mail today, but then i would probably end up in prison, which for multiple reasons is unlikely to work out well for me.

maybe some of the vapers here can help me with some advice on how to use the new setup? i ordered 2 ego c twist batteries at 1000mAh, 4 kanger tanks, extra atomizers, a charger and a case. my old brand can be laid down, stood on end, shook up and not leak. i am going to get as many carts from my old company to make up for the backorder as i can milk them for and use them as a compact convenient backup to toss in the glove box or field bag or slip in my shirt pocket.

do the new big juice tanks need to be kept upright? do they fit discreetly in the breast pocket of a button down casual shirt for work? how do other folks carry theirs around? any hints or tips?

today i am stressing out about nicotine. tomorrow i will either be in vape heaven or jail.
