Wow! What a sucky market! Really dislike seeing those all encompassing candles everywhere. DWCPF, SPF, IWM, QQQ. But vix is down... and the dollar and 10 year yield don't look to have much effect. But … oh..... TRAN down 1.92% …that is significant!

Hum... don't know what talking heads are saying to explain the drop, but I guess I will find out later this evening. Eeekkkk … I think a few reindeers are still sleeping or on strike! Dang it ! :blink: No cheer here!

Tomorrow should be defining moment for the S fund I actually like the S&P finding some stable footing. Overall, if we get a pop in S tomorrow will feel good about holding.

Ugh...well...I'm locked in here since I'm down a little bit here. I was under the belief the rally would have been a bit stronger. Instead fizzled quickly. However...I will hold here since I still think we are due for a pop. Some exterior news with China economy may have tipped the scales to the bears this week. Not expected a recovery this afternoon...but if we got a bite here on oversold stocks...would be happy to finish the week on a positive note.

I'm with you. Do I hang at least one more day, maybe put some more in to see if the Fed can say something to start pushing us out of this over sold condition or bail and keep what I have. I have hated these late day sell off which seems to happen lately right after our cut off time.

I am headed out now and won't be able to monitor things over the next hour or so. I don't know what to do either so am letting it ride. Scary times for sure!

I was thinking to exit today. Had myself talked into it but will gamble one more day...hope FED says something comforting to soar the market. But thinking to put in to exit tomorrow before fed speaks. Regardless of what happens, I want out. I will take my loss and consider myself lucky to still have something. Between a rock and a hard place.
Personally I would probably wait for the FOMC press conference, that might actually be the December Rally. I know it is not much but it is something. I believe today will get bought up this afternoon and we rally back to todays highs into the close. But then again that press conference is not until the afternoon, so wont do you much good as far as tomorrow.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, I'm in the garage not sharing your angst, this time. Good luck.

Humm…. partial exit. Will drop to 60% exposure from 80%. Going to be 20C and 40S COB today. Then exit the rest tomorrow.

Will consider the same route...I don't think Santa is coming! DA, at what time is the deadline to make changes to our accounts so it will take effect next business day? TY and good luck

catak, just in case DA is busy.
Changes need to be made prior to noon EST to take affect at the close. If you made a change at 12:01 pm it would not take affect until close of the next day.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I know that is a simplified answer.

WorkFE you are correct in your reply to catak. Only thing to add is next business day. If you made a change at 12:01 pm on Friday it would not take affect until close on Monday.

HI PO and WorkFE,, Thanks for replying to Catak. I was out rest of the day and could not answer. Must get the IFT in by 12pm ET to get it to transact at COB on same day. Otherwise, the IFT will transact on the next business day at close of business.

Of course, the market must be open on date you transact(not a market holiday). Also, there are times when market is open but TSP is not open and typically the TSP.gov site will specify when and how they will price the transaction.

And don’t forget the infamous I fund FV for the share price when trying to buy in. That has screwed me on a point or two over the years.

Decided to not reduce equity exposure further. Will see how FOMC announcement goes today.
Just hope there are no surprises.

Well.. I guess we saw how that went....

Earlier this morning, it looked like we could have a bounce today... but it is now only +.10%.. +29 pts. At this point, I am so far down on this most current slide, that I am becoming more inclined to wait for a short relief rally. Maybe this coming week.... will see... Wish I had reduced exposure more...still in at 60% 20C/40S.
