DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

DBA...Not sure what you are thinking but...

By my scratches I should have moved in yesterday as we got confirmation of more upside. Unfortunately work has really kept me busy the past 2 days. As it is I have a transfer for 50/50 C and S set up to take effect today. Unless I see something different soon I am letting it stand and expect to see another 80 points upside on the C fund.

Happy trading and happy Friday all!!!

Yep I agree with both of you (Quabit & McQlives) on many of your points. For now, I prefer to see some real confirmation that we are going into an uptrend before I enter again, but I realize that may be many months away. So in the interim, I would like to try entry if we have a pullback... and take a chance on a little upside (high risk). Thing is that the pull backs are so slight and short-lived. Can't seem to find an entry. I am trying to be patient. I almost entered the other day when the market dropped for a quick one day play, but I was too weary of entry.

Must admit, I haven't been saying much because there is not much to say ….all I want to do is mutter to myself :( Not much value in that, but still … I do not feel like entering the market. I know we will have nice little rallies throughout this downturn (like what we have had this month), but I do not want to chase and I just don't want to play. I guess I am still in tilt and steaming a bit. Wish I had stayed in, but a 9% loss is not something I can let turn into anything higher.... been through 2008 and prefer to not let that happen at this late stage of the game as I still would like to retire in 2.5 years (could have retired 2 years ago). I might retire sooner if there are material detrimental changes to Medicare and FERS. But I would also like to keep working as I do like playing with my money !!! :)

Did I mention I am going to see Mariah Carey concert in Sugarland Tx on March 1?? Now that makes me smile big!!!! Got my tickets yesterday ---so awesome... 10th row near center. Me and my sis are gonna have a blast! LOL... wooo Hoooo….. :D I gotta hear that whistle register in person!!!

This makes me go hummm…… How will hitting $22T in US National Debt affect market? you know... like on the day it happens? Just wonder... I do not even recall when it hit $21T. Humm…

U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

This is the White Elephant in the room no one is talking about right now with all he other political news going on. It will have to be addressed pretty soon. We can't let it go on unchecked. Eventually, something is going to have to give. I just hope politicians in DC don't think they will balance this too on the backs of the Federal employee. People are going to be harmed by this in the future. Thinking about pulling my money out of TSP because I'm having a hard time believing they will do right thing.

Have a great time.

Thank You Valkyrie!!! That is one AWESOME article. Had to read it twice and go to link on Cloward-Piven Strategy. Lots of things happening now make sense! very interesting...the thought of huge insurmountable government debt and the role banks play has been bothering me for quite some time. But role of Dodd-Frank and putting the big banks at front of line during huge pension fund (or government) bankruptcies and other possible effect on our TSP is just scary. :worried:

research UN 2030 agenda. AOC told us in code that it will happen, when she stated the world will end in 12 yrs. end of the present world system and a new UN controlled one world govt system. just about everything she says is from that agenda. 2018 + 12 = 2030.

Thank you Valkyrie! I did search on "Agenda 30 UN" and checked out the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development document, approved by UN, plus a very good article put out by TheNewAmerican.com---goal 10 (along with all the detail sub goals) is interesting.

Resurgence up on Friday has me scratching my head. Hummm… are we going higher????
The 10 EMA did touch the 50 EMA on Friday...looks like it may cross positive! It did that early last week on the S Fund. Futures down right now, but not by much...hummm..

Best Wishes to Everyone on Your Investments!!!!

Im not a fan of futures options flipping negative on Sunday evening. Has me somewhat worried about this week. Main concern is if geo-political news (your pick 🤢 ) outweighs good earnings. If earning come in below expectations then look out! Good luck in your positions everybody!!!

And for those of us without pay for the recent past...have a happy 4 pay check boon 🎉but I’m not counting on seeing the 5th one come in on time🤪🤢🤢🤪🎲...

Just from observation of the markets over 40 years any market moves based on geo-political or domestic news tend to reverse in the near term while effects of earnings tend to be more longer lasting! JMHO Good luck to us all! I suspect this may be a difficult year to determine moves in and out of the markets!

I entered... 25C, 25S, 50G. Not completely feeling comfortable with this move as we are up so much at this point, but oh well..... :(

Been so busy at work, not much time to post or review charts, but it does look like its turning back up... but still we are above 80 on Stochastic. Humm…

Hi DBA!

For some reason I keep looking at the 6 month ^GSPC chart and overlaying a 200 MA and a 50 for Bollinger bands. It is reminding me of your crystal ball chart (originally posted on your # 2331 post and pasted below). For the record.... I am really keeping an eye on the 200...

Anyway, If you stretch that crystal ball chart out we very well could be in the late October peak with another test of the lows (Dec 24th for reference) coming soon. A bounce off the 200 would make it align just about perfect! I know this is kind of prognosticating is the same as reading tea leaves and throwing dried mouse bones while looking at the stars with one eye part way shut.... but if this pans out we should be back into a bull market before summer:D

Hi Mcqlives!! Throwing dried mouse bones??? Lol.... I agree we are heading for another big drop and I do think it will be fast and soon ....Not sure when everyone will want to pocket a good chunk of their gains, but I think it happens soon...but closer to the last high (2800 on S&P and 1364 on DWCPF) as opposed to 200 EMA because it Looks like we blew past that today! Still....Beware of the Algos!!!! I've not been in long enough to endure much of a hit so I plan to exit at first sign of profit taking but hopefully a tad sooner....Then one more play late in month. I do think Bear continues awhile longer as I just can't believe its over until we see a higher high. But something BIG did happen today as the 20 SMA (mid-point on Bollingers) crossed up over or kissed the 50 EMA. That is very promising!!!! :D

Best Wishes to you and everyone!!!!!!!!!

I exited today --100G. But could not post earlier as I was having issues with logging in. I finally was able to reset password... no issues with TSP, its just I'd never had to do that and just couldn't get to it. :)

So exited only because I just can't handle my entry (prices so high last week) and thought that we could drop soon, as we are going to hit resistance soon. We blew through the 200 EMA but the 200 SMA is still just a little ways up. Like I said before, Beware of the Algos! :worried:

Best Wishes to you all!!!!!!
