DreamboatAnnie's Account Talk

oh wells.... so I ended up missing cutoff by seconds... dang (first time I ever missed an exit, TSP was slow)... then I see market rally over 400 points, then early evening, after work, I see it dropped! California shut down caused that??? Wow! This is such BS! Then again... earnings soon to be reported and we all know that will be an ugly picture...also, China still not playing nice...

On daily chart, drop formed an Engulfing candle but EMAs still OK. Will see how Tuesday goes... on daily chart, we continue on the sideways chop! Futures up 29 right now.

Here is 15 minute Intraday... clearly see the drop started at about 1:45 pm ET.

Ok...I debated with myself... should reduce exposure...but I feel greedy...:embarrest:... strategy EMA cross down not yet hit for exit. Ugghh... no move yet. Hope I don't need to kick myself with those boots tomorrow! Best Wishes to you All* !!!!

I guess I answered my question about how often does the closing numbers deviate more than 1% from the 1130 am nubers? It only has to happen once - on the day you make a big IFT - to really hurt.

Yes, we just never know what will happen during the 4 hours that we are forced to wait after the noon cut off. I think its extremely wrong we lose out when changes happen after the cutoff, especially when transactions now can transact in milliseconds...just ridiculous. We really only have 1 effective trade per month and then blindfolded for 4-hours! It's sickening and seems criminal!

I would have exited too if it hadn't been so very slow to site. Market was doing really good at noon and I was shocked to see how it ended. I've been hit with that scenario too many times to count! Best wishes to you Ranger!

I would have stayed 100% S yesterday if I knew the afternoon was going to go the way it did.

No, I meant that I would have stayed in S in hopes of capturing the little snapback we got yesterday and possibly today instead of exiting 50% with a loss, but you got my point. Happy trading!

I find myself more and more looking at the time left in the month, if any pullback would be recouped in that time frame, it doesn't make any sense to bail. I think the 13-20 moving averages strategy is key and will likely stay with that for the foreseeable future.

We'll....until it fails us, but let's hope not. I am shocked to still be following strategy, still in market...only partly bouncing off walls... eeee...I think I need a good spring-fed river and a cold beer, or two! :D:D:D

Oh How CUTE! I love that! I have a squirrel (Sammy) that comes to back sliding glass door each day. Stands with hands folded and Peers in! Reason: He is waiting for DBA to give him Pecans! :D:D:D. Others hang out, but he is the only one that comes in house and takes from my hand!
