Since I am not in the auto-tracker any longer, I'll post my monthly and YTD returns here. Since this is for January, these values are both the same this month. My January return is +2.44%.

I am still sitting 100% in G, no plans to buy into anything today.

Hi Dan, I don't blame you for not posting in the auto trader. It's kind of a pain in the neck, and when (not if) you forget or post to the auto trader within ten minutes after noon, then all your numbers are off.
Your gain of 2.44% is probably better than everybody in the TSP (unless they have a crystal ball on hand). I lost almost 4% the first three days of January. So I am now (for january) only down 1.6%.
Have you received your "letter" yet? I am still in Yuma, so I have no clue what is in the mail. But I will be leaving to drive to snow country this weekend. One bright side is that we will have more time to study and discuss our IFT moves before we actually make them.
Your F chart looks great. I appreciate you posting them for us 'less math oriented" folks. Thanks again for all your help.

I too took a big hit/loss the first week of the year, about 8.6% ouch! But! I have worked my way back, on my own, to a small loss this month of about (.45)%

With Ebb down over 14% for the month, I have to stay with my own decisions. Maybe in 6 months or so, when the economy starts to recover and interest rates start to rise again, Ebb will get back on track.

This brings up a very interesting point. Many that are currently towards the top are now there because they have remained in G since the beginning of the year. Their current return may be 1%. Where as you went from -4 to -1.6% and if this Trend remains consistent you will end the year much better off.

Dr. F, you're currently in 2nd Place for the TSP Site; and I'm not surprized as my message honoring you clearly acknowledges your incredible timing abilities.

Thank you... I consider myself very lucky that I made up that much. I hopped back and forth between the F and a combination C/S Fund. I hit it right almost every day. I doubt I could come close to that ever again on my own.

I'm not trying to invest solely based on your info, Ebb's or anyone else's, but I do value your insight.

On a regular basis? I hadn't considered that .. only posting a chart when something interesting was happening, making an IFT, etc.

I'd be happy to send you my spreadsheet(s) if you want ... just need your email address.
