Re: I fund question

Well, I wasn't but since the bounce failed...I am. 50% C 50% G
The RSI is at 38. Getting close to my buy zone but if we continue down it could be another 2% or more. I'll just look to buy again early next week if that happens.

Actually, scratch that. going 100% C fund. I just realized its still above its 50 DMA so my system calls for a buy.

So, all the stock funds are back in buy territory. The pull back was once again a buying opportunity. We should get to 1900 on this run and then the real pullback?.....

Re: I fund question

The s fund moves more in both directions. I had the S fund on the down side and C fund on the upside. :(

Re: I fund question

S&P hit new highs today and RSI is only at 60 so I see this rally taking us to at least 1900 before another pull back. I still think we could have a summer fade but we'll see.

Still looking good for my plan. I'm thinking a sell signal will come within a week or so because the RSI will get to 70. I may end up switching back to S fund before I get out because it usually outperforms but I'm not sure its worth a trade. If my plan works I won't need another buy this month so....hmm

Ok. I think I've made up my mind on what to do.

My longer term out look is for a fade for the next 3 months or so and then a little rally. I am not at a sell signal yet in my system though because I need a RSI over 70.

So, I think I'm going to go with my longterm plan and sell today. Its the more conservative move.

I was planning on getting to 1900 on S&P before a sell but we're pretty close to it now. Also, I need to decide if I should go into F fund. My system has a buy on it but I am weary of it from past experiences.

I hope to decide soon.

I have decided to go with the long term plan and sell today. Thats against my system but I think its appropriate at this time.
100% G because I never have any luck with F fund.

Re: I fund question

Is it Go AWAY in MAY time?

I think the market will drift lower the next couple months. No huge down draft. Just a drift with a down bias. That means I'll probably be out for a while unless we get that big sell off and a RSI below 30.

The C fund had a predictable bounce at the 50 dma. The S fund is now in a downtrend but bouncing off the lower trend line and is below the 50 dma. Neither is oversold.

So, we could have a couple of up days before the down trend starts again imo. I see no good reason to jump in here.

Re: I fund question

It's a bit early in the trading day. So you're saying there's no chance the I fund will be positive today?

Losses from the overseas markets were negligible. The dollar index is down a bit, so that helps the I-fund, but the I-funders are carrying yesterday's FV baggage of -0.81%. If the market doesn't pull up, then another FV could be tacked on.

Re: I fund question

I am expecting a downtrend to continue slowly through mid June or end of June. There may be a chance to get a little rally here and there. There may be one soon as we're getting oversold.
