so the bad news is there was no episode of ncis last night on cbs, but the good news is tonight survivor did not get bumped for election coverage, and pretty soon somebody is going to get voted off the island! i love that part! also i like mostly naked people, it makes them seem more honest.
on a somewhat related not, most of my coworkers get along well enough to discuss things like survivor or politics or religion without being offended so i told them last week before survivor that i will know who wins the presidential election next week... if a boy gets voted off then hillary wins and if a girl gets voted off then trump wins. so that turned out to be a pretty perceptive vision of the reality rigged tv our politics have become. i blame the politicians for that.

burros-ark update: zoom! wow, that was quite a week huh? i sure didn’t see that coming. to be honest, i thought the election would go the other way, and even in the event the current winner happened, i for sure did not expect that kind of market reaction. coupled with the brexit surprise and resulting market gains from that event, this is twice now this year the market fates have tricked me, good one you sneaky devil. i suppose in hindsight it all looks pretty obvious now, but that is not how the human mind works,especially with all their retirement marbles on the line. it will be very interesting to see where things go from here, and even more fun to try to figure out how to play it.

burros-ark signal: hold. for me and the burros-ark system, this has to be a hold right now until i can get my feet under me and survey the playing field. i realize I may miss out on some exciting opportunities by staying out, but i’m just not feeling the love here on this. funny thing is two weeks ago half the people were convinced it’s all rigged, and now the other half are equally convinced it’s all rigged. i’m pretty sure at least one side is right. hold. el vira (the volatility indicator risk assessment) is decidedly in negative terrortory with 3 arkers jumping ship for the relative safety of the g-fund. and exposure (percent of long equity holdings) is down in the low 20%, seriously? Almost 80% of tsp investor money that represent the burros-ark gang have is stashed in government bonds? whoa. these are generally some pretty smart and calm folks with a steady eye on the future, and 80% of it is buried in a mason jar in the back yard? i think that the economy is facing some pretty stiff headwinds after 10 years of near zero interest rates and market balloon inflation. we have to remember that we are $20 trillion in debt, somebody had to lend us all that money we've already spent, and it wasn't us, it was a private consortium of global banks and the bankers always get their due. get ready to start paying up buttercups, any economic growth will mean we finally have more money to apply to debt payments as opposed to artificially low accrued interest. this may soon start to be a big problem. hold.

burros-ark stuff: i suppose i can always take solace in the fact it is sunday and i can watch my nfl football team and hope to win the tsptalk suicide pool, except i already got bounced out of that. or i could go count my shiny silver tsptalk coins, but out of 3 bets on the election i only netted one coin and it is hard to clink one coin against itself, which is a pretty depressing sound of course. my damn lotto tickets didn’t hit again so no point in browsing the custom rv sites and building my future rock star party bus. heck, i can’t even go grab some tacos because now i have been educated about sexual assault and mysogyny which is everywhere all the time apparently. to top it all off my car isn’t running well, my kid wants more for xmas than i can afford, and the damn beer store don’t open for another 3 hours. maybe I should just take up needlepoint or something. well good luck to all of you, see you next week.

so survivor is on again, somebody gonna get voted off! here is my theory this week...
if a girl gets voted off then trump gets to stay, but if a boy gets voted off then that electoral collage is probably going to throw the race and let that hillary girl hang around. watch and see. this is what we are reduced to. but that's ok, i like it.
on a side note, i think we would all get along better if we only wore underwear or swimsuits, it helps keep folks honest.

yeah, i'm pleased with the rookie's performance and think he'll be a great quarterback for a long time, i sure hope so because he is a way better role model than some of the other 'professionals' out there. also i hope fame and fortune don't ruin him, it does that sometimes, and philly is a rough place to be a nice guy, hell they even threw snowballs at santa.
but them damn eagles better use their draft pics wisely and get some offensive targets and some blocking for him to call on, or else he is going to have a rough and disappointing career.

so last week there was a disturbance and i did not update the data and i thought about back filling it for 11/20 for about 2 seconds but i quickly changed my mind because sometimes hiccups happen and it ends up costing you more time to fix than living with the problem was worth. so on the chart there is a gap and a repeat of prior values and now we see where we are at. holy election market, is that a viagra in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? i’m pretty sure this has already lasted more than four hours, but it just keeps pumping out gains. and there are some ark swingers out there, happy to take a ride on this rocket. crazy stuff. i am not a history or charting fan, wouldn’t even know where to go to get it or be able to read it if i did, but has this ever happened before? if one were to sort month of november stock index moves on a four year interval spanning all presidential elections, what would that chart say? i wonder. but that is what fences are for, swinging at.

burros-ark signal: hold. yeah, i just don’t know. my model is broken, it totally missed the brexit and then again it missed the donald. kaboom, i have no idea where it goes from here, at least not any idea i’m willing to bet on. hold. so i’ve been busy monetizing my cash into cold hard steel and copper and lead and physical trainers instead. the reasoning behind it is that things of hard value will retain their value or appreciate while paper promises become more worthless. somebody gonna have to pay dem bills. and the federal reserve does not ever issue notes (bills) that it don’t expect to at some point collect on and hold collateral (security) for, that is what fannie and freddy are for,they underwrite your house. so spend it now while it still has some perceived value, and get hard stuff in trade that you can use later. tuna, but not a can opener, to open a can of tuna you just find a chunk of broken concrete and hold it upside down and swipe it back and forth, like karate kid, wax on wax off, eventually the seal will break. there will at some point be lots of broken concrete so can openers are a dime a dozen, how hungry are you? hold.

burros-ark stuff: for xmas i bought myself another ar15 variant and i like it, as soon as it hit my hand it sang to me, a low dark tune full of hope and change. prices are off 20% on the conservative win with no ban threat in the immediate future. this ruger is better than the sw mp15 sporter i already have, basically the same class but the ruger has valuable features and tight workmanship. that of course prompted a buy of 500 premium rounds, 1k target/can rounds, new field kit, tactical bag, sling, etc. and two cases of beer, one for now and one for later. soon they gonna do some recountin math, bought and paid for faithless electors and all, plus gold plated helicopters have a tendency to just fall out of the sky, who flies heavy metals anyways, you supposed to ship that stuff. let ‘er rip tater chip, there’s a storm comin, troopers. hide the secret disk in the shortbot, make it play a hologram or something at the right time. i’d rather have a broken model than a broken princess, but i still like ya leah, on account of the nice buns. the funny thing about chickens is, they always come home to roost.

i apologize for the late post on the ark stuff today, i'm gonna start working on it soon, i swear. but last night i realized i'm probably never gonna hit the lotto so i had to deal the with whole "no rock star party bus for me crushed dreams" thing. then i found some youtube videos of folks that renovate old school buses into travelling homes and that is prolly be my path.
there was this couple from california who made their version and it wasn't so bad, very interesting pictures of the work along the way, she's a bit squat in the thighs and gots the wide hips thing going on, but it looks like a pretty good motor backing it and the headlights definitely work. bus builds always go better in a tank top. the only thing that bothered me about that story was they were gonna drive to arizona and be naturists and ride bikes in the sun and stuff, so why did they spend so much time and effort building a closet? nudist don't need closets.
then i noticed some random article links at the bottom of the webpage and it turns out lindsay lohan is worried about gravity and wrinkles and aging. now i've always appreciated her willingness to share, and there ain't no reason to be sad about those things honey, i kinda like when they hang a little low set like that, it don't mean a thing if they don't gots that swing.
anyways, that's where most of my afternoon went. back to investing.
