11/23/2010 After Bell Quick Summary

The bottom line, the short-term trend is down, not confirmed though. I hold partial short position overnight because the mini price target hasn’t met, not because it’s safe to do so.

Tuesday, November 23, 2010NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART

Meanwhile back at the ranch, shorting this market has been an incredible challenge. I have been doing it only because my techniques say to do so, not because I am some wise guy or doomsayer. I just take the signals as they come up with some discretion of course.

Nov 23, 2010Spain Is Too Big To Fail, Too Big To Be Bailed Out.

"You can try to ring fence Spain. You can provide financing to Ireland, Portugal and Greece for three years and try to leave them out of the market and maybe restructure their debt down the line. But if Spain falls off the cliff, there is not enough official money in this envelope of European resources to bail out Spain.

Daily Market Commentary: Mixed Bag

The increasing bearish turn in supporting breadth raises the likelihood for further near term downside in markets (Nasdaq). Tomorrow's tests of 50-day MA for the S&P and Dow are key for these averages and what it means for the Nasdaq and Russell 2000. Buyer beware...

I'm still holding in the G Fund and the Bear Market is on track for plenty of pain in 2011!

I'm still only buying and selling very oversold and very overbought conditions to meet my risk management criteria.... We should get a bounce after today’s selling, but I'll continue to just watch.

Neutral for now or cash in all accounts.

I'm waiting for a sign that the intermediate cycle has bottomed and I don't see that yet. I will retire next year and wait for better setups these days to go long or short.

Good trading to all and I hope folks have a nice Thanksgiving. After all, our families are the most important thing in our lives.

Friday, November 26, 2010WILL HISTORY REPEAT ITSELF?

"I am leery of shorting this market, I have been burned doing so recently. However, I have to honor my signals, and my general tools tell me to look for short term sells in my indicators, so that is what I am doing".

November 28, 2010 Bob Brinker's Moneytalk: Lynn Jimenez Fill-in Host

Here is a quick review Bob Brinker's current financial market views:

~ Brinker sez the stock market is in a cyclical bull within a secular bear -- his current target range is S&P 500 Index 1300 to 1350.

Please note: Not only is Brinker's current S&P target range about 7% below his January, 2008 mid-1400's buy signal, it is THREE HUNDRED points below his project S&P target range of late 2007!

A Pretty Clear Perspective
Uh-oh. Looks like Suze Orman, the multimillionaire author of seven financial bestsellers and one of CNBC's most popular talk show hosts, didn't get her dose of "it's all good" corporate Kool-Aid. Otherwise, how else to explain her less-than-upbeat remarks in a Forbes' The Other Half blog post by Jenna Goudreau (unless, of course, they describe reality so accurately that it would be foolhardy to deny it)?

When asked about her financial fears, Orman said: “My only fear in life, when it comes to money, is what’s happening in the United States of America. The American dream is dead for the majority of America.”
