350,

Is there a correlation between these huge FV swings and the L Funds? I don't remember there being such a huge variance before the L Funds started. I'm thinking it somehow has something to do with the "daily rebalancing" of those funds to meet the targets...

And I'm still waiting to see the change to the G fund daily calculation proposed by Ms. Ray and agreed to by the Board months ago...

I don't think so. Volatility is higher and the I fund price is also higher.

Up 7 cents to 23.95. The I fund is now even.

No +FV.

Unbelievable! Big change in the afternoon and no FV.

Yesterday, I called for a big -FV but Barclay was very conservative. Call me crazy but I think they are watching us. It seems like they want to make us look bad or not trust our FV calls. It's either that or they're just plain monitoring our IFTs pertaining to the I fund.

I'm going to stop posting FV calls for a while to see what happens. I would suggest that others do the same. I'll send them via PM if any wants them.

NO FV today...What is Barclays doing ?!?!

What ever it is they're doing, lately, they have not been following what is stated on TSP.gov:

Participants have asked why, on some days, the change in the I Fund share price reported by the TSP does not match the change reported for the Morgan Stanley EAFE (Europe, Australasia, Far East) index, which the I Fund tracks. This happens when the Board's investment manager, Barclays Global Investors (BGI) reprices its EAFE Equity Index Fund, in which the TSP invests, after the close of the foreign markets. This process, known as "fair valuation" or "fair value pricing" occurs when there are large U.S. market or currency movements between the time the foreign markets close and 4:00 p.m. eastern time, when BGI's share prices are determined.

Maybe this is a stupid question but if, hypothetically, a large number of people have been scared off by the board's threats and have stopped IFTing in and out of the I fund, would this affect Barclays bottom line and, if so, could this cause a change in the way they determine their FV?

Just wanted to put this out there as a possibility.

The ebbchart was in the I-fund today and will be in G tomorrow - that's what happened. They are waiting. Ahh, the buy and holders who want us to stop trading, will benefit again. They just don't know it. Ignorance is bliss.

Seems like the FV's, especially the ones adding to the price have been way out of wack lately and they have had to do MAJOR corrections the next day. I don't remember them being that far off a year ago or so. Perhaps they have paid a price for these errors after all or perhaps they realize they are hurting the credibility of the TSP board (which is their bread and butter). Whichever the case, forgetting everything else, the volatility is so much greater now so they may in fact be changing their "rules".

I agree about keeping the price estimates down somewhat. With the volatility, it is so hard to predict now anyway. Thanks 350Z but I was wondering if you somehow could be targeted, perhaps they could figure out who you were, based on your IFTs. You DID seem to be on the wrong end of the FV's for a while there on a pretty consistent basis though can't say I've examined it that carefully. Call me a conspiracy theorist...

So I'm not the only conspiracy theorist...So now I need to purchase premium service from Ebb in order to know when NOT to sell the I Fund? LOL!
