Oh no...The Yen just spiked again. This afternoon's rally might have been too early. The Yen needs to start falling again soon or we will see some real panic tomorrow. The Nikkei will probably open 350 points down.:(

What do you mean you don't have much choice? What if we are heading for a real credit crunch? What if more hedge funds blowup over the weekend? And what if we finally find out on Monday or sometime next week the name of bank that's in trouble to the tune of 92 billion?

"Sit tight and stay right" is fine when we're in a bull market, but what if the market is changing. Did you see the earnings report from the homebuilders today?
350z, the homebuilders news is rather old. It is just be highlighted because of hedge funds. Toll Brothers and the rest already informed the markets earlier in the year about slow sales. Also, the sub-prime is also old news. The way these hedge funds and big money people work is to cause panic through the media like CNBC,Bloomberg,CNN,WSJ,and etc. They make a ton of money on both side of the long/short. Now, watch them spin it the postive side. The key here is the FED.....cut rates

I hope you're right.

And for the rest...

G 12.04 even
F 11.36 +.04 (+0.35%)
C 16.57 -.39 (-2.30%)
S 19.89 -.47 (-2.31%)
I 24.26 -.51 (-2.06%)

Lots of cash on the sidelines. Let the bargain hunting commence!

That's two strikes, Rookie.:)

The best way to determined the possibility of a FV is to determined the change in the EFA(yahoo chart below) or the Dow from cut-off time at 1136 est. to the time of market close. Lately, Barclays have been using either the EFA or the Dow.

I think you're right about that, 350z. The last time they used Dow, today they used EFA cause Dow obviously did over .50% movement and EFA didn't hit the .50% mark.

The beatings will continue until morale improves!!

I've been following the ebbtracker, but part of me wonders if jumping out tomorrow is the right thing to do.

Last February, I was sidelined the second day after the drop. I missed a couple down days, but I also missed the swing back up. Lesson learned. The question is, should I apply it here?

Hmmm...

Don't you just love how people are losing money and some can still laugh about it. I wish this site would of started 4 years earlier. For you new kids, that means 2000. I know, I know, a couple of you weren't even out of high school yet...........

BTW, TraderFred and the TSPTalk sentiment survey were out of the market this week. Remember them?

After crunching the numbers, I don't feel so bad about today. Thanks to you folks, I've cut my loses to less then half of what CSI has lost, since I started tracking 17 July.

That's my silver lining and I'm sticking too it. I threw an extra 5% into C & I, and started 20% into S this morning. I sure hope it pays off. :suspicious:

Just so you know, this is nothing against Ebb's system. It's been doing quite well this year and no system is perfect just like Freds, the sentiment survey or mine for that matter aren't. The one thing about systems is, they don't talk a lot. Just do what the numbers say and you'll spend less time at the gastrointestinal doctors office........;)

I'm at work now, but when I get home and do the update on the Top Decile, Tom's Sentiment Survey is gonna be close to the top of the ranking!

I understood the I fund did better if the dollar falls. Could you explain a little more this situation. Thanks
