wv-girl account talk

Assuming you are talking about the tracker? You are funny. Fell a little short of my 2% a month goal, but I will make it up next month.

2% was my goal too - that's pretty coool.

Well it appears no matter how far they take us up (and knock us down) - nothing can tear us apart...:)
expect a move from any other member on the AT, a move from either one of us, ocean making a miscalulation in any number of ways...

Heading over the hospital - singing Alice Cooper's 'I'm 18'

...............I've gotta get out of this place

Hi Debbie,
It's great to see ya back. :)

Hopefully the weather is fairly nice and you can step out on one of your porches and sip a cup 'FOR ME'.;)

Ever since seeing your pictures... I can't help but think how cool it would be to stand out there - enjoy the air - and drink my coffee..

Well it's back to the grind stone for me ....

Have a great day off... and enjoy the weekend.

Hey Girl, I spotted your vehicle on the road today with your personal license WVGIRL. I was wondering "gosh what you are doing here". This wonderful state is grateful you are visiting (staying) here. Speaking for the governor, we hope you enjoy it here and will put down roots. That must of been a wonderful drive.:D

Alert Alert
Call in the CIA cause someone is impersonating me and done stole my handle. Gosh, I wish it were me. I have always wanted to do a cross country trip like that. You know, the kind where you take your time, explore the back roads, find the out-of the way-places where the real people live. Working in the DC area it is hard to get a feel for how the rest of the country lives. That is why I love WV and commute everyday. I heard the #1 spot for employment now is good ole DC, with Baltimore being #2. Jeez, I wonder why?:suspicious:

Good hearing from ya. Thanks for the drive-by.

Hey wv-girl, good to see you posting here, been awhile, seems like. If you're still a reader, here's a couple writers I've really enjoyed on the "across America" theme over the years....if you're not familiar with Jenkins, I'd suggest starting with A Walk Across America and move on to the Way West. In the second book, he moves through country I've lived in, and spent time with people I've actually known in small town America. Enjoy!

Hi all,
Thanks so much for the warm wishes. Funny, I had to remind myself that today was my b-day. Guess, maybe, I've had too many?? Don't feel any different, tho. Here's hoping that it doesn't creep up on me and catch me all at once.

Thanks again, my mb friends, for making my day special.(clink)

Gosh, sorry it took so long to finally notice the little birthday cake at the bottom of the screen.

Well I'd have to say - even though you rarely make around to these parts now a days - you were (and are) one of the best !!

**********************************************************
So since MLK Day is almost here:

I had a dream that one day on my old route to The Farm my car would break down (or I'd just pull up the drive) and I woud take in the beauty of the home of all homes. As I'm walking on the beautiful wooden deck and marveling over the various balconies the Princess herself would open the door and warmly say: 'Steady, is that you'?

And she would know it was me -- not by the tone of my skin and the manly muscles -- nor by the gleam in my eyes and the grin on my face -- but she would know it was me because of the merits of my inner integrity, the abilities I possessed and sensing all I had to offer.

And I would not be left out in the cool Autum day because of my outward characteristics -- but by virtue of who I am and the inner workings that give me my identity - the Princess herself would let me in.

I HAD A DREAM

That one day I would stand on the top balcony -- holding a hot cup of freshly brewed tea and marvel at where I had arrived.

Well Happy Birthday WV - girl. Oh and don't be embarassed because you're the only one who can see this message.

BTW -- You haven't had near too many yet -- and you should feel a lot different cause now you're at your best.

Steady
