WorkFE's Account Talk

As I sit here waiting for the tracker to be updated, looking at gnfshn, his currrent ytd gains and current allocation, nobody realy thinks this cat is off fishing somewhere do they?

I don't know; if you're really that good you could afford to go fishing as much as you'd like. :cheesy:

Tomorrow could be a day of reckoning. The fed raised the EFR, not to be confused with the fund rate. None the less we have seen to often that such news can have a volatile affect on the market. Tomorrow will tell but could go either way. Then again that depends on who already new.

What a novel concept:laugh:, the bank pays you to save your money at their bank. How about some real interest rates you morons.

Watch that dollar, If it takes off the US could turn into a foriegn Currency parking lot.

I'm leaning towards Rocket but hey I've only got 30% on the line. I would say check and see what BT is doing but you already know the answer to that. Many of the others I follow are out of IST's sitting in the G.

EAFE Index Vs. $
It's not even a fair fight

The writing is on the wall IMO and has been for a little while. The dollar has been moving higher knowing what was coming, but not knowing exactly when. It's going to be tough I suspect, to hit the good I fund days while avoiding the bad ones. Risk/reward is not worth it to me. Too tough to time.

Well I'm taking baby steps now but there in the right direction:p
Nice weather here yesterday and today. Can just about see the boat trailer tires:laugh:

Sorry it took so long for those that were interested but here it is.

First let me tell you, today my wife drove just about everything on the lot.
Ford Fusion from what I could tell while I was there is one nice ride and people are buying them off the truck. They did not have one with the 6 cylinder in it but the 4 banger had plenty of get up and go. The wife does not drive stick and I am not a fan of 4 cylinder automatics but the car itself did not give you that cheap feeling you often get with smaller cars. Very nicely done.
The Ford Edge is a roomy vehicle that is fun to drive. Mostly what they could find were limited additions and 40K automobiles border on equal to my house payment. There did seem to be some blind spots that you would have to get used to but seeting and power seemed endless for a vehicle of that size. Only because of price and loyalty I would probably compare it and pick it over Lexus RX10.

In the end the Tuarus SEL (Sorry no SHO, alittle out of my league) won hands down. It is one fine automobile. I know there used to be a fan base for the old taurus and if you are one of them it will not dissapoint. Beautiful car. My wife and I have both owned trucks for the past 16 years. This is our first stab at a semi luxury car without selling the farm. The car seems heavy (The way I like it) but drives very smooth. If interested I'll update my thoughts on owning it after about 60 days so that I can get a better feel of its worth.

Atleast for today Party Monday seems to have disapeared. Shame you could always make a quick buck in on friday out on monday. No damage done today. Hope no one jumped out due to the trend shift, we'll probably get that pop tomorrow. Holding 70G, 10-CSI. Enough to get my feet wet and not drown. I'm scared;)

Because you don't pay enough already and a fair tax would just not be, well, fair. What the hay it's only 3%. rrrrrrrrrr

Letter from TSP:

"We are also going to devote special attention to our population of approximately 375,000 noncontributing FERS participants"

Does anyone know what the total number of federal employees is. Discount military as theirs is non-matching.

Thanks Tsunami, now I know where to start with my national debt reduction plan:D

That is astonishing.

1946 to 2006
Federal workers: 10% increase
State Workers: 600% increase
Local Workers: 400% increase

What a boring week. I guess we ended lower than we started but it sure feels like we spun our wheels all week. Still holding 70G-10C-10S-10I but the over and under gets 2 new cartridges on Monday.

Just a thought: IFT's should be like roll over minutes, if you don't use them they should be forwarded to the next month. And don't you think since they are your IFT's you should be able to donate them like sick leave.

I Love the idea you have with the IFT situation but I have come to the conclusion that it is a Mute subject idea. :(

I would happy with 1 or 2 more IFT's. Since the rising cost was not due to excessive trading, how about if we start a petition or letter campaign to Gregory T. Long. Then maybe we can try to get a face-to-face meeting with Greg. I wonder if Tracy is still there.

I nominate James to be our spokesperson. :D

This is a very sad story about a bear.. Everybody should heed the warning to not feed wildlife because they become dependent and cannot forage for themselves anymore.
This is such a tragedy to see what they have done to our country's wildlife!
The photo below captures a disturbing trend that is beginning to affect US wildlife . . . .

Animals that were formerly self-sufficient are now showing signs
of belonging to the Democratic Party..... as they have apparently
learned to just sit and wait for the government to step in and provide
for their care and sustenance.
