WorkFE's Account Talk

Since last Thursday was a significant down day I am trying to not get to excited for our first trading day of 2010. Hope to just get back our losses from last week. However this would be a nice gain for day 1.

Remember what happened last time Oil went through the roof. I've got my finger on the trigger because IMO we are creeping into fear stage. It would not take much to send it back to >140.

And nothing would put a damper on this more than higher energy cost.

With a user name that starts with W I was destined for the bottom portion of the tracker on 1 Jan. Fortunately for me there were enough members holding considerable positions in the G fund today that I will cut my climb in half.:D
Of course there is the possibility that they can get it back tomorrow:worried:

Way to start off the New Year everybody.

Futures Flat this morning:(
After the market opens, report is expected to show pending home sales fell 2% in November.
At 10 a.m. a report is expected to show factory orders increased by 0.5% in November.

GL today

If you had continued to draft behind Medic 72 last year instead of making several pit stops - think about the dollars you would have earned. What did he close out - #4 or something like that. I think it was the sticky pants.

Risk vs Reward. They were rewarded for taking much more risk. I am certainly not mad about my gains in 09. A full 10% ahead of my annual goal. Lets see what 2010 brings.:D
I know this discourages you but I will be less agressive this year. On the tracker it may be a race with other members, in my real account I'm racing my real retirement age which I will always keep in perspective. Thanks for your encouragement in 09 I will lean on your positive attitude some more this year as well.

I get the feeling this market is what it is until fridays #'s. If we had a big up day between today and tomorrow COB I would be surprised.
The good news is the tracker is on the fritz so no one has to be ashamed of their position on the tracker:D

The tension in the market is tighter than a Banjo string. Will it explode or implode:worried:

It's early and futures point flat to up.

It's news like this that keeps me from pulling back into a more conservative position.

Friday will be the day we keep or give back the gains of the first week of 2010.

Not sure who the writer was.

Friday is upon us and other than being my favorite weekday:D todays market should be interesting.

Furtures are showing very little, but up is up. Overseas markets are mostly green with a dabb of red.
Dollar strengthened except against the pound and yen.

Jobs report not the only thing do out today but probably the one with the most potential to move the market in either direction.
Also do out:
Wholesale inventories
Consumer Credit

Have a great day.

Market is playing hide and seek this morning. About 60% of the tracker moves were in 40 out.
If a move is to be made I think I'll wait 50 more minutes. I have 10% in Cash to dump in but if we end down it may continue on monday to provide a better opportunity.
Then again we could finish flat which would IMO strengthen support at the current level.
Check or Hold. HMMM

Although it should not surprise anybody who expected the market to end like that. (crickets)
