WorkFE's Account Talk

We've all seen some pretty volatile action in 2009 or so we thought. Believe it or not that was the easy leg of making money. We go into 2010, for some of us, having gained back some or all of our losses. For others not so well. But one thing is for sure, if you did not make any money since March 09 due to stubborness, 2010 is not going to be easier.
We should continue to see action to the upside through March and possibly April. I believe we will stagnate until the holidays after that with the possibility of a summer time correction in the market that if followed (using the luck method) can add considerably to your 2010 gains.
Any way, this is all my HO and I will gladly listen and follow the MB over myself anyday:D

Rebalanced to 4-G, 34-C, 34-S and 28-I
I know it is a small % but on up days (fingers crossed) I want to slowly reduce risk from now through march.

Backed alittle more out to the G, if it holds, Thanks Santa.

I would like to be sitting 20-40% G and 60-80% stocks new years day. Any decent down day and I'm back in 100% until April. Thats the plan anyway.

Currently- 10G, 33C, 33S, 24I

Have a great Holliday everybody.

Last year my wife and I bottled one of the best Merlot's that I believe I have ever done. Cellared it for a year.
This evening we delivered homemade cookies, jams, sauces, pickles and sauerkraut to everyone we know. When we got home (midnight) we uncorked one of those bottles. Want to know what happened? I was right.:D

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night

Merry Christmas
HomeMade Wine!! :D Always wanted to do that, I'm a Red Wine Guy!! winepoor.gif

Last year was a good year for our grape vines, this year was crap and what did appear the birds got.
But I am in the process of curing that problem with Pear and Peach trees.

One year long ago I rented a house in the country with a fence line of scuppernongs and one of muscadines we made wine with both, very good. It took about 6 or 7 weeks but was good, sweet!
A friend of mine buys the grapes in bulk and freezes them for next year, says it works fine, I wouldn't know?
Making wine is dangerous!

Thats why here at Chatteau Daves we us kitchen appliances to get the juice.

Futures were up this morning, maybe we can take another little bite of profit today (seems like we've been stealing cookies in the middle of the night)

Beware: Volume is low and relatively small moves could cause major volatility.

After the bell, December report on consumer confidence is due out. Economists expect a rise in the confidence index to 53 from 49.5 in November.

Asia closed slightly higher.

GL Today

Futures pointing in the wrong direction this morning. Not sure if this thing has run out of steam or it's trying to shake the fleas.

GMAC Financial Services may receive $3.5 billion in additional goverment handout.

Chicago-area manufacturing for December report will be released shortly after market opens.

Government's weekly crude oil inventories report is due at 10:30 a.m.

Overseas markets down.

This news plus low volume could easily equal a significant pull back today.
Happy trading every body.

I enjoyed both those reads - I'm in the Kudlow and Miller camps and staying there. I have to make a lot of money in 2010.

It took me all year but I finally caught #1 on the tracker. However I am in a tie with 278 other members:D

Futures point green for tomorrow at the moment, the Nikkei and other markets that are open are also headed in that direction. I plan on stay on my current allocation for the foreseeable future with 10% in reserve. My goal for this year (10%) is not as agressive as it was for 09 plus I exceeded that goal with alot of you alls help. Thanks
I believe we will ride upward for the next few weeks as those who have been on vacation will begin to make some moves in the first few weeks to position their holdings. The G fund gained alittle under 3% in 09 so that won't get it done. I plan to back out to a 50/50 position as soon as I have better visualization on the goal. I'll be watching and reading quite a few MB members as we go forward to make my simple goal.
