A bunch of liars? No, I don't see that. Are my arguments one-sided? It's possible, maybe because I've seen so much absolute drivel being put out by the other side, starting with Iraq and continuing on and on. I was just curious as to when the American people became so gullible. I think it came many years ago, during the Vietnam myth, which created a lot of distrust in our government. Then Watergate, Iran-Contra, etc.

The right has an agenda that I just don't buy into. Eventually, it becomes self-defeating propaganda. One of the few things that the right points to is Monica Lewinsky. If that's all you've got......

Does the left care about money? Yes, they do. They also care about people, more importantly.

Ignoring counterpoints? If there's a counterpoint, I'd like to see it.

See, that's what's so funny about many of your arguments. It's one-sided. Liberal and Progressives would never lie, would they? And they don't care about money either, do they?

I won't defend many of the past Republicans because too many of them didn't follow their own roots. It's all about power and control. And the liberal progressive) brand is not any different when it comes to power and control. It's just another ideology.

Follow the money indeed. I can certainly agree with that. But it applies across the board.

The best news is that I've achieved my goal. You've been so adversely affected by the truth that now you're having to "add me to the ignore list".

By the time the scientists agree...which they never will...we will all be dead because of a nuclear war anyway....China allying w/Russia, we and the Brits and AUs. Does the current admin...believe they are going to get China...still very backward...alot of people still not fed...greedy businessmen trying to make a buck, corruption...not paying employees, complain and you get beat up....going thru an industrial revolution... and then not burn coal. Livestock account for a significant amount of Austalian emissions

Australian scientists have said they are hoping to breed sheep that burp less as part of efforts to tackle climate change. The scientists have been trying to identify a genetic link that causes some sheep to belch less than others.
Burping is a far greater cause of emissions in sheep than flatulence, they say.
About 16% of Australia's greenhouse emissions come from agriculture, says the department of climate change.
Australia's Sheep Cooperative Research Council says 66% of agricultural emissions are released as methane from the gut of livestock.
"Ninety per cent of the methane that sheep and cattle and goats produce comes from the rumen, and that's burped out," John Goopy from the New South Wales Department of Industry and Investment told ABC.
"Not much goes behind - that's horses."
The scientists in New South Wales have been conducting experiments in specially designed pens where they measure how much gas sheep emit by burping.
They have found, from tests on 200 sheep so far, that the more they eat, the more they belch.
But even taking that into account, there appear to be "significant differences" between individual animals, Mr Goopy said.
The scientists' goal in the long term is to breed sheep that produce less methane, which produces many times more global warming than carbon dioxide.
"We're looking for natural variations so we'll steer the population that way, " said Roger Hegarty, from the Sheep Cooperative Research Council.

A prototype cow which burps less is being bred in a breakthrough that could reduce a big source of the greenhouse gases responsible for global warming.

The farm animals are responsible for nearly three-quarters of total methane emissions.
Most of the gas comes from bovine burps, which are 20 times more potent than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas.

Stephen Moore, a professor at the University of Alberta in Canada, is examining the genes responsible for methane produced from the animal’s four stomachs in order to breed more efficient, environmentally friendly cows.

He completed tests using traditional techniques to breed efficient animals that produce 25 per cent less methane than less efficient animals.

‘We are working on producing diagnostic markers (clues to medical causes) for efficient animals,’ said Moore.

‘We are looking at the next generation of technologies that will enable us to determine the genetics of an animal through a blood test or testing some hairs that you might pluck from the animal.’

Farmers could shrink their cattle’s ecological footprint by breeding cows that grow faster, so reducing the time spent standing in fields. Cattle could also be bred to become more efficient in converting feed into muscle and producing less methane and waste, said Moore.
