What Happened To Global Warming, it's NOT!!

I used to work on the flightline. When it was cold, it was coldest there and when it was hot, it was hottest there. All that concrete absorbs energy.

Members, I would like to encourage everyone to respect the other Members and not name call, or personally attack each other. It's fine to disagree, but we have rules and we all should try to abide by them. Those that disregard the Rules degrade the Message Board and will be dealt with appropriately.
OK, that said let's get back to it!!;) cat and mouxe.gif

Al Gore Caught Warming Globe To Increase Box Office Profits

December 18, 2006 |

Dozens of eyewitness reports indicated that former vice president Al Gore deliberately attempted to raise the earth's temperature in order to boost box office receipts for An Inconvenient Truth, his documentary film about global warming that was released in May.

DESPERATE MEASURES
Former vice president Al Gore takes a flamethrower to the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica to boost weekend ticket sales for An Inconvenient Truth.

"We have accounts from concerned citizens that Mr. Gore purchased a Cadillac Escalade SUV several months before [his film] opened in theaters," said Kimberly Blume, spokeswoman for the California-based environmental group Friends Of The Earth. "Not only did Mr. Gore use his new gas-guzzler to make short trips to the grocery store, he also left the vehicle running 24 hours a day in the driveway of his Tennessee home with the air-conditioning on full-blast."
In the weeks following the film's release, witnesses reported additional sightings of Gore engaging in activities such as discharging can after can of 1980s-era, CFC-laden aerosol into the air, and single-handedly clear-cutting over 6,000 acres of Amazon rain forest. [more]

In the spirit of Buster, it's like taking your temperature under the arm pit or rectally. One is more accurate.

Mental image got ya.

During the first two weeks of January, a record cold wave invaded Florida. It was the longest and coldest penetration of Arctic air into Florida since 1940. For the first two weeks of 2010, West Palm Beach had an average low temperature of 39 degrees.
This month, Washington DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia were buried under record amounts of snow. Meanwhile, another storm dropped snow on the Deep South closing schools and highways. Dallas reported getting a foot of the white stuff, breaking that city’s 24-hour record for snowfall.
The winter of 2009-10 is rewriting the record books for cold and snow. Gee, I thought we were going to see the end of winter due to global warming -- at least that’s what Al Gore told us. And yet, to the amazement and amusement of many we are being told that this winter’s record cold and record snowfall is due to global warming. Huh? Record cold and record snow is because it’s getting warmer?
Here is the political spin on all this cold and snow: To defend the climate Armageddon predictions, the global warming enthusiasts have declared that warmer temperatures introduce more moisture into the air and therefore create more snowfall. The global warming faithful say these weather extremes are a sure sign that global warming is here and we had better change our ways because global warming is even worse than we thought! The problem with all these claims: there is no evidence to support any of them. As with so many global warming proclamations, these pronouncements are literally pulled from thin air. The claims that global warming would produce all kinds of severe weather from cold to hot is new. It was only a few years ago that the alarmists were claiming the earth would get warmer and this would produce more heat waves, droughts and melting ice caps and glaciers. Then the global temperature stopped going up after 1998. At this point winters started getting colder and snowier around the world. The alarmists had to restructure their doomsday predictions because nature was not cooperating. The new spin is global warming causes everything. How can your prediction be wrong if you forecast everything to happen? The answer is you can’t. This silly notion is what we are being told to swallow. We are being “educated” into believing that record cold is the result of warmer temperatures. Something is very wrong with this picture. [more]

Other than the Hugo Jockstrap..Where are our other more competent Weather people?...I know Weatherwiener lives here in OK..He can confirm OK's weather has been near record breaking lows this year.

No problem but the nay sayers will call this year an accident and that we are well on our way into Global Wamming!
This should slow down the lake effect snow south of the lake, IMHO!

LONDON (Reuters) - U.N. climate chief Yvo de Boer said on Thursday he will step down in July to join a consultancy group, two months after a Copenhagen summit failed to support a legally binding climate pact.
Green Business | COP15
His departure is unlikely to dent further U.N.-led climate talks meant to agree a successor to the Kyoto Protocol, stalled over sharing the cost of cutting carbon emissions.
The Dutch former environment official will join KPMG, the Secretariat for the U.N. framework convention on climate change (UNFCCC) said. De Boer has led the agency since 2006 and his contract was expected to be renewed in September.
"It was a difficult decision to make, but I believe the time is ripe for me to take on a new challenge, working on climate and sustainability with the private sector and academia," de Boer said in a statement.
"Copenhagen did not provide us with a clear agreement in legal terms, but the political commitment and sense of direction toward a low-emissions world are overwhelming," he added.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon would consult and decide on a replacement, a U.N. spokesman said.
The Copenhagen meeting missed de Boer's own benchmarks for success, neither specifying exact emissions limits for developed nations nor a time frame to agree a new pact, but was applauded for harnessing pledges from both rich and poor countries. [more]

47% Blame Global Warming on Planetary Trends

Monday, February 15, 2010

Questions continue to mount over the science behind years of studies that say humans are chiefly to blame for global warming. But reflecting a trend that has been going on for more than a year, just 35% of U.S. voters now believe global warming is caused primarily by human activity.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 47% think long-term planetary trends are mostly to blame, down three points from the previous survey in January. Eight percent say there is some other reason, and 10% aren't sure.
But 56% say President Obama still believes that human activity is the main cause of global warming. That's the highest finding on that question since last March. The president went to a United Nations summit in Copenhagen in December in hopes of reaching an international agreement that would limit human activities that some scientists say contribute to global warming. Should Al Gore Give Back His Nobel Peace Prize Award?

Mr. Gore is hypocritical. He says one thing but does the opposite. He preaches global warming, and that we need to cut down on energy usage, however he has large houses, and he flies around in his private jet. He has a very large carbon footprint.
He apparently practices the liberal system, that everyone else needs to cut back, but he himself does not. This is my biggest clue that he does not believe it either. If he actually believed it, he would practice it.
