What are you paying for gas / fuel now?

Not enough to warrant paying attention. I fill up at the local station when the light goes on. Do I have a choice?

I drive about 20 miles/day (average) which is roughly 0.8 gallons/day. Lunch, even if I pack my own, costs more.

I feel your pain. I commute 60 miles rt x $4.90 a gallon. I bought a 2012 Hyundai Elantra and am averaging 38 miles per gallon, which helps. I just might have to give up the cable and other small stuff because of the food prices. Living in paradise has some expensive drawbacks.

60 miles round trip is rough, but 1.5 gallons per day for your commute isn't too bad. Heard the new Elantras are pretty nice and almost 40 MPG on normally aspirated petrol engine is pretty impressive!

3.49 in central illinois. E85 just dropped to 2.99 after staying at 3.19 for months.

Still hovering around $3.55 at the lowest end of the scale. With oil dropping along with the rest of the market prices may go down some more.

digging up an old page, but my how things have changed. I never thought gas would go back down in price back in 2012, but I filled up today for $1.79 gallon, less than half what it cost me back then.
