A 'Stop Loss' is a prohibition of leaving the Marine Corps. This is a situation where someone is on active duty, is nearing their End of Active Service, but is not allowed to leave the Marine Corps. Even people being busted out of the Marine Corps cannot leave under a Stop Loss.
