If you see an official notice of 'Stop Loss' than we are talking... This is a rah rah...

A 'Stop Loss' is a prohibition of leaving the Marine Corps. This is a situation where someone is on active duty, is nearing their End of Active Service, but is not allowed to leave the Marine Corps. Even people being busted out of the Marine Corps cannot leave under a Stop Loss.
 
Nostradamus predicts that by 2026/05/07:
  1. Iran will effectively become a client state of the United States (like Venezuela)
  2. Gas prices in the United States will already be declining by then
  3. Iran will be able to sell their oil at market rate
  4. And, Hormuz will be open for bidness
I also think the EuroTrash, China, and India (some of them likely buying sanctioned Iranian oil via cutouts) will be charged a small gratuity for oil from the region. This will start relitively soon after the Iranians bend the knee and kiss the ring.

You cannot think of the Trumpster as a Bushian kind of a guy. He is far more merchantile. As can be seen from Venezuela, this can be a win-win - or a win-win(ish). He won't put 'boots on the ground' in any massive way. He won't spend a dime, take the time, or care enough to nation build. You have to care about the folks you bomb to build them back up again. He doesn't. I don't like it, but I can understand it - especially after 'W' took the beating he did.

Nostradamus didn’t even have gasoline. How would he know the price of oil in 2027?

Israeli media reports one F-15e shot down, one crew member rescued, one still missing. A UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter participating in the rescue effort was shot down as well. No word on any of the helicopter’s crew. Unknown how many were aboard the helicopter- it appears the helicopter was part of the rescue mission and was filmed smoking before it went down.

Pentagon says The pilot has been rescued. The weapons officer is missing.

Iran says it is offering a reward for his capture- it appears it is likely the WO is on the go, on the ground. Good luck.
 
Iran says it shot down the F-15, the A-10, and a Blackhawk rescue helicopter. Iran state TV told the public that if they see low flying aircraft they are to fire upon them. Video shows locals with automatic small arms firing at Blackhawk helicopters.

U.S. says one pilot rescued, but the Weapons officer is missing.

Meanwhile, a few hours ago I saw the new MQ4C Triton drone flying across Jordan on its way from Sigonella. It’s the new MEGA drone that costs like $600 million dollars.

And then a short time later, I’m NOT seeing the MQ4C anymore. Then I hear somebody saying IRan has shot down a Reaper drone.

If Iran just took out another $600 million unmanned aircraft, this is going to get costly, fast.

Oh. And the President just fired the Army Chief of Staff.

Just to clarify- there are no peace talks.

Iran says somebody passed them Trump’s demands, and they said no. Then Trump sent them a proposal for a cease fire if they open the Strait. They said no.

Nobody even knows for sure who is alive, and who is not, running the Iranian government. Clear as mud.
 

Polymarket apologizes for allowing wagers on fate of U.S. pilots downed in Iran​

Prediction market platform Polymarket issued an apology for allowing users to place bets on the fate of American pilots aboard a U.S. fighter jet downed over Iran.

A two-seater F-15E Strike Eagle was shot down on Friday, according to a U.S. official. One crew member was rescued, but the other remains missing. In a since-deleted market, users were able to wager on when the pilots might be rescued, with the majority predicting a Saturday rescue. “US confirms pilots rescued by...?” the market read.

Rep. Seth Moulton, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq, slammed the market in a post on X, noting that bets were being placed as a dangerous search and rescue operation was ongoing in Iran.

"They could be your neighbor, a friend, a family member," the Democrat from Massachusetts wrote. "And people are betting on whether or not they’ll be saved.". "This is DISGUSTING," he added.

US Rescues Second Airman from Iran after "Heavy Firefight"​

An American airman who went missing after Iran shot down an F-15 fighter jet has been rescued after a "heavy firefight", a US government official told Al Jazeera.

Although the weapons officer has been recovered, the operation is still ongoing and the crew is still in Iranian territory, Al Jazeera reported.

The official told the TV channel that the conflict means the rescue team is not yet out of danger.
