For money:
Games of 5 people or less, is winner take all
Games of 6 to 15 are top 3... that is a range of 50% (3/6) to 20% (3/15) getting paid
Games 16 to IDK are top 4

For points:
5 people or less is winner take all
6-8 are top 2
9-11 are top 3
12-14 are top 4
15-IDk are top 5
so that would be top 1/3rd, truncated, I believe.

I'm not sure that setting does anything
 
I wouldn't know. I haven't been part of the inner circle yet...heck, when I was a little kid I thought getting a nickel was better than getting a dime...duh...:D

the home clubs are set up for larger multi table tourneys. we have only had a couple where 9 or more players entered i think. so regardless of which settings we are going to get pokerstars default payouts and points like kuz listed already. unless one of you wants to strip down and attract about 99 new members.

we are actually playing and basing performance on kuz' spreadsheet which uses a bit different formula for points, and a range of games per season? correct?

i think the main thing is to just keep the games scheduled on the alternating sunday-monday format and keep it rolling, the spreadsheet will do the math?

This is why I asked earlier when we were switching. I'd recommend switching now.. that way we have 1, or I guess 2, weeks to make sure the transition goes well.

At the end of the day, we can manually select start and stop dates on the spreadsheet, to determine standings. The only hardcoded piece is the PokerStars' accumulation of stats. Which we can already duplicate ourself with the 'cPoints'

OK, I created a tourny for June 26th. Club Name is just "TSP Talk" (as opposed to the old "TSP Talk Poker") if we want to use it and make the move early.

I also created July 4th, but as I said in a previous post, I don't think that one should be used as an official tourny because of the holiday. We should start season 2 on July 10.

got it. i'm in on 06/26 for the new club. i unregistered for the old club on same date same time so as not to play two identical tourneys at the same time.

just imagine yourself as a wildebeest out on the savannah... the migration begins now. the crossing the river full of crocodiles part comes later.
 
also, this is the last time i'm gonna warn you, if poker was a racetrack and i was a car just rolling off the line...

they forgot to install a transmission they only gave me neutral and drive, there is no brake pedal, and the seatbelt is all messed up.

Correct!

To be clear, to everyone, what I posted is what PokerStars uses, which is included in the spreadsheets under 'Prize' and 'cPoints'. Neither of which are used to determine your ranking! (Except for tie breakers)

The 'Points' column determines actual rank, and is based on an equation I came up with, and independent of anything PokerStars is putting out.

The only thing I ever use PokerStars' stats for is to double check that we recorded the game correctly.

No anger, I was responding to gata's comment about Hillary's servers. Just having a little fun, no hard feelings at all, and not trying to insult you bud. Rest assured you've been removed from the rankings. As simple as removing a single row, and hiding the now blank rows.
