TSP Poker Club

Not sure if gata has hand histories. She would have had to set it in settings. We don't have to start over, are you willing to handle to heavy lifting with the data? Burro has his hands full with the Poker Stars GUI.

We've had a small number of tournaments, and we are a long way from December. The games we've played, in the long run, won't be that significant, imo.

You say the top 30% get paid. In the screenshot burro posted, it is showing the top 20% to be paid. Going forward, what do we want, 30%, 20%, something different?

Correct. I don't have hand histories.

Paid and points are different. And actually I meant top 1/3rd, gets points, not 30%. I got that from the pokerstar website, home club FAQ I think.

I don't mind managing the spreadsheet, that is a piece of cake.

How are points awarded for Club Standings?
The total points awarded for a qualified tournament are exactly equal to the number of players in the tournament. So a 20-player tournament awards 20 points and a 50-player tournament awards 50 points. The points awarded are spread across the top third of participants, with a higher proportion going to higher placements in the finish order. (Rounding may occur to ensure that total points equal total players and top third of players is a whole number.)

Yeah...:) I was joking about the heavy lifting part.

I still think we should start over. Set up the tournaments. Set up a cash room. And leave everything alone.

However, you being the leader, suffers :) the most by starting over...as you may never be the leader again if we do.

So me, personally, I leave it up to you.

Keep in mind whether folks are truly comfortable with a setup whereby the point leaders are keeping the books. Keep in mind how many folks would want to join such a poker club.

Could always start over and add these stats in at the end of the season if it's close. Just an idea.

Maybe userque can provide the KO numbers for the last two games so our database is complete.

you guys seem to have a lot of faith burro won't mess it up again

Sorry Chipotle :cheesy:

Actually, no. Sorry. I offered my services, giving burro a chance to step down [after he offered to step down]. After all, he preaches that there should be no leveling of playing fields, and that only the best qualified should get the jobs, and if you don't work you don't eat. etc. But he didn't resign.

If it be the will of this body, that a new manager be appointed, so be it.

OMG! Can we all just have some fun while enjoying a little competition? You'd think we were playing for money.

that's what i thought we were doing. i am not a robot or a computer or ocd. we have played cards and had fun and everybody knows where everybody stands. for the report card freakin calculated to the umpteenth decimal point then go right a freakin head and start a game. i will play it.

Nothing personal. You seem upset, but here's what you said:

...there is an option 3, which is for somebody else to start a poker club and take over management, because the job don't pay so good and it really makes no difference to me where or when i kick your asses.
