Trivia

Are you referring to neanderthals. Originally they thought this was a completely different species but now have found they are distant cousins and some of us still carry this ancient DNA.
Yes, when I thought of this question I had just read an article in a science magazine that said everyone who has origins outside of Africa have been proven to carry Neanderthal DNA.

Good job, and the board is yours, sir!

Or, have I missed what you are after....some animal perhaps (other than the chimpanzee)?

How about a clue: The species was first discovered in Belgium, rather than the Neander Valley as is commonly thought.

Thanks, Scout. How about this one:

Any species of homo sapiens that developed outside of Africa contains measurable DNA from this species.

Hello Guys, My cousin was a Navy Seal before he was a missionary. I hear they can eat anything.

Lets try a TSP related question.

When it comes to Thrift Savings Plan investors which group or occupation appears to be the smartest, as in getting the biggest bang for their investment buck. (Hint: the same group also seems to be most successful at doubling their investment dollars.) Is it:

1. Rocket scientists at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration

2. Everybody at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

3. Physicists at the White Sands National Laboratory

4. Letter carriers with the U.S. Postal Service

5. Statisticians with the Bureau of Labor Statistics

6. Chaplains with the Bureau of Prisons

7. Senior researchers with the National Institutes of Health

8. Auditors at the Internal Revenue Service

9. All of the above

10. None of the above.

A millennium (pl. -ni⋅ums, -ni⋅a) is a period of time equal to one thousand years (from Latin mille, thousand, and annus, year)
:D

my bad! so where did million (100 thousand) come from? You don't have to answer that - i was just having fun. The absurdity of eating a petrified potato tickled my fancy.

"ten millennia" - really - our ape ancesters where cultavating potatoes 10 million years ago???:cheesy::D That is a rock in the shape of a potato IMHO:toung: but I give the point.

Go USA soccer - tread highjack - HAH!

I love weird food facts. So here's my next question:

The most widely cultivated variety of THIS worldwide staple food was already being cultivated ten millennia ago by the Chono, a group of people who became extinct in the 1870's.
