I've never seen this particular scam, but I can say I've never been bombarded by so many other overt scam attempts (Probably a dozen email scams each day) not to mention occasional scams sent through the mail. Then there's those that do not require any involvement by us at all like chargable text messages.

Nowadays, moreso than any other time in my life, I feel like I'm walking around with a big bullseye on my chest. :suspicious:

Apparently as far back as '05 different states (listed & described) have warned their people of this scam to collect their SS #, and other ID information -

According to Snopes/wikiboy, You can thank the Conservatives and Sarah Palin for that..:laugh::rolleyes:
 
there's a big legal difference, crws. one is state, the other is federal. two different constitutions. read the district judges legal opinion if you havent. He lays it out quite clearly.
 
Hey folks - this cold weather storm is going all the way down to the Texas Gulf Coast & Mexico according to Weather.com. Schools in some places, like Aransas County, have had to close d/t electricity black-outs and a great deal of the kids not having the proper apparel for this type of weather. Some in my daughter's school were dressed in shorts, tee shirts & light jackets and sandals in Monday & Tuesday's 35 deg temperature. The windchills today are at 19 deg. There are certain families all over SE Texas that really don't have much in the way of heat for this type of cold. Keeping those kids in our prayers for others to assist as needed will help. :)

- you know, they all probably started out in high school Marching Band, then on thru College - had to, to stay that limber :nuts:. Did you notice the guy in white high-tailing it up the ladder on the far left, near the finale, heading toward one of the `boxes' ?
This one, and coolhand's Barbershop guys could put on shows at Branson!!
