So I had a 60-something birthday the other day...for some reason, this old Yusuf Cat Stevens song came to mind...

Back in the day, I sang the "Son" part...now, the "Father" makes more sense to me...

Probably good I never had kids...:smile:

He has aged well, being away from the music scene for so many years...

So I'm in the shop for my semi-annual haircut and beard trim...I don't know what station they had on, but they were playing some KILLER old tunes !!!

This one came on...I haven't heard it in AGES, even though I have the vinyl from back in the day...

ME (to the 30-something woman cutting my hair) : "Do you know who does this song ?"

HER : "I'm not very good at this game..."

ME : "That's "The Police", and Sting...from an album called "Synchronicity" !

HER : "Never heard of them..."

Side Note: Shawn Lane, a guitar prodigy gone too soon RIP; died Sept. 2003. Wrote "Epilogue for Lisa" for his sister Lisa who died in a car accident. At age 14 he was the lead guitarist for "Black Oak Arkansas".
