as the fates would have it... this is the first piece of music i ever paid for, out of cash money from paper route and lawn mowing and cleaning up a meat department work as a kid. but first i bought the panasonic tape player which was like a sony walkman but before they had sony walkmans or else at least before i could afford sony over panasonic. anyways, that is a long story.

i bought both of them the same night from a "ben franklin" store on the boulevard, back when they used to have ben franklin stores and boulevards. my mom drove me there. she waited in the car because i had to buy some underwear too, and at that age i did not like her picking out my underwear. later i figured out that g-strings were not very comfortable and i should've listened to her, but no, i had to do it my way.

i think they stole it from francis sinatra, but who cares?
