Hi,

Hate to throw salt in a open wound.............but I did recheck my spreadsheet and I have myself at 2.23% for the month of May. If its any consolation when I rechecked my numbers I had made a error myself. There was one move that I made under the wire and posted at 11:01 a.m.

Tracking my own move is hard enough but you guy’s are tracking 23. If you what to drop me off of your tracking please feel free. I feel guilty and think you may be overwhelming yourselves. You are doing a fantastic job and are very much appreciated!

Pyriel aren't you on VACATION! LOL

Pyriel: on 5/3 & 5/17 you have MM at 50%C that should have been 50%S.

Milkman, I found a couple errors, but I did not get to 1.5%. Would you recheck your spreadsheet versus your account? June 1 was a very good day, make sure you are not adding that to your total on your spreadsheet. I've made that mistake before myself. If you still have a different amount, e-mail me your spreadsheet, I'd like to figure this out.
Thanks Fund, actually your right about the June 1st date.

At least I'm beating Mike YTD now...........:P
That's nothing to be proud of. :P

Also, I haven't scrutinized the spreadsheet to make sure it's right. I don't care enough to spend the time needed to double check everything. It's just not that important. Once in awhile, I'll use the old reliable equation (current balance minus 1/2 contributions divided by starting balance + 1/2 contributions)to check my actual return to see if I'm meeting my expectations or not.

I'm sure with everyone watching if someone Monday morning quarterbacks their peers will let everyone know and then the Tally Police can judge the move. They still will have to post the move in there own account thread as usual and this can be the deciding point as to when a move is justifiable. What might help is a Tally sheet with everyones name with 31 days listed and they go in and put a check mark on the day they make a move in their thread then you know some type of move has been made that day in their account. This would at least let you know that a move was made on a certain day by a particular member. You would not have to worry about searching through everyone that day.

Pyriel, how are you calculating your return for the month and the quarter from your spreadsheet? You don't have a value for the end of the month (I've added one onto spreadsheet I use for the Tallyand calculate at COB 5/31). I'd bet the difference is in the dates you are using to calculate. Are you adding June 1 like milkman did? It was a very good day.

Cowboy what you are suggesting is a good idea. One problem is that we want to make sure all the calculations are fair and that people don't Monday morning Quarterback their returns. We would still have to check their account to make sure they were entered correctly. Might still save some time. Perhaps we could have people attach a file to their accout thread which had their moves in a specific format that would be easy to import. I'll have to gie it some thought.

You guys have one tough job here! It will be like wrangling steers in a muddy arena. I like the tally monthly I think it is great! I only looked at G-Man because he was top doggy. Keeping track of transfers has to be tough. I am thinking if were to do this Pyriel & Fundsurfer should have a thread where the ones being tracked validate the move we make so they aren't searching for everyones moves. Maybe we could have some type of spread sheet where if you move you provide it to the spread sheet and they imput later or something. :i

It has to take a lot of time and effort to do something as track alland as membership grows the harder this will be.

Pyriel, I did not see any change in Rod's sheet when compared to mine. I know we did have a change earlier in the year. What actual change did you make?

Citizen now has highest last Quarter! (Sorry G-man, as a consolation you have highest year to May)
For Rod, there were too many to mentioned. I really don't know what happened... Can you just validate the one that I attached earlier and see if it matches yours... Thanks...

Still had the highest last Quarter but not quite superhuman anymore. :)
fund,

I totally missed Gman's move on 5/16 to 100i. I also did it wrong when I moved him to 100s on 19 Jan. It should be 18 Jan.

As far as Rod is concern, I redid his tracker. I am attaching it here. Sorry Rod... I really screwed upyour tracker. Fund, can you retally his... thanks...

I'll give you fair warning though, if you read my other post, the reason my return sucked last month was because of the I fund..........I won't be playing it when I put you in your place.................:^

And be extra careful of peeps who come to forum under "invisible" mode, usually means they have something to hide..................

I'll give you the same proposal I gave you as MT, 3 months, the one with the worst return leaves the board. I'll even put up $1000 if it takes money to get you out of your hole.

What do ya say?

Be extra special of the people that can not beat G fund when the S was up over 6 for the month and rant about their great returns day after day after day and their great system.:(

I have me being up about 1.5% for May. No biggie though.

Be careful with those PM's guys. Especially from someone who changes their avatar as often as they change nics. Do your own thing..................:^

I am actually up a lot more with the IRA's that I manage simply because I don't or can't transfer into an "I" fund. I can transfer into international funds, but they sure aren't like our "I" fund. This can be tracked at moneytalk. I'm up 3.21% for the month there. Some of you know this already. Taught me a lesson anyway. STAY AWAY FROM THE "I"................;)

Nice job to all those making money!

As much as I liked the looks of the tally, it didn't look quite right.........

You missed a transfer into the I Fund on May 17.

Myactual total for May is a whopping 0.30.

Could've been better but it's still black ink, right?
