TALLY May '05

THANKS PYRIEL for the help getting this together. Pyriel has been putting all the moves into a spreadsheet, and I've been doing the monthly totals. I would not have the time to do this tally if it were not for him.

I started keeping track of a few people I know are faithfully posting there moves. I like to see how people are doing. You should not use just this post to judge how people are doing totally because we don't have a long track record yet. As an example, someone could do very well in October but have had a very bad July/August.

I got these numbers using the post from each account talk list (2 exceptions - Milk-man was e-mailing me his moves during a 'vacation' and tspgo has a website where he posts his moves). If you are a regular poster but I missed you it was because I either felt you were not posting regularly, posting moves too late after deadline, thought you had quit or you were not posting in the right place. I did not get to check for any new additions to the list this month and only CSI got added because Pyriel had his data. Next month I'll have more time.

Since there are so many people posting, I'm not going to add you up if your post are too confusing or it looks like you missed some post (ie. you refer to a move that you made 3 days ago but did not post in your account). I'll catch you next month when you get it straight.

You'll notice a couple new changes. I added a total for 2005 column, added each of the funds as well as the 20% each fund, and have ranked the participants based on annual total so far.

Extras:

Spaf: Thanks for starting an account.

Rolo, it looks like the magic 8-ball has quit working.

If I missed you and you weren't included, PM me and I'll add you to the list or let you know where you confused me. There are so many new faces that it would be easy for someone to fall through the cracks.

Shouldn't the column headings read May, April. and March, rather than April, March and February?

Once again Fundsurfer and Pyriel- You're both >

Thanx for the effort!

BTW, "My Return Year" , as reflected on my TSP spreadsheet that Tom created is:

-1.56

That is quite a difference from the 2005 total of -3.71you have reflected.

IMO, our Return Year is a better representation of how we are truly doing.

Maybe you should request that from each of us next time?

Just a suggestion so the figures are not misleading as to how we are performing.

God Bless:cool:

Thanks FundSurfer, really appreciate your time and effort. I was hoping April turned around, only wish it was larger %, but the strategy for now is hit and run and only conservatively until things clear up (also helps that I finally figured out the "lock in" procedure with TSP ).

Again, nice job :^.

Regards,

Mike

Great job.

Know that is a lot of work.

Gives ya a good idea who to share with ideas with and who to avoid.

Not to be negative but everything you learn can be utilized for investing and your financial future.

Find folks that beat the indexes and interact with them.

Even if you have to PM to avoid the bashers. :D

Thanks for your hard work. It's really appreciated.

Also I extend my appreciation and gratitude to Pyriel for his contribution to this board and to Tom for making this magnificent tool available to all of us.

Lets see here G man sells G makes +.11 a share buys S on 5/9 and sells on 5/17 losses .09 a share and at the end of the month gains +.14 a share and you have him gaining 3.56% for the month of May. Mmmmm? what am I missing here? It must be the setting in G in April that netted him the gain or what?

Hmmm... I could have sworn I checked you twice. Will relook at your tracker again...

These are through May. Rod, you may be looking at your chart totalsthrough today.

Once again, great job guys!!

And congrats G-man! That is a great turn for 2005!!

I have no idea how I got the highest for the month. Must have been beginners luck i guess. I wish I had more money in my tsp so i could actually see a big difference in my total. I have been listening to Tom, Mike, Rod, and Pyriel for guidance and make a decision from them. But this in only one month so don’t follow me!

Cowboy,

I think you are onto something. Been analyzing the new tracker we were using. Will bounce this off with Fundsurfer... For those who wish to get the trackers which i usually send out weekly, please pm me your email add. I'll send one off this weekend.

Tom, I like how you show your gains/loss for the month in your site. I'll configure the trackers that way before I send it to Fundsurfer. He is my second eye and I have to rely on him to fix or reconfigure the formula for the tracker program. I'm just not too smart for these kind of thing...

Funny I don't see Dakota in the list. Spaf should show up at the end of the month.

Ladies and Gents, When I send out the tracker weekly, please inform me if I had made a mistake. This way I can fix it before I pass it on to fundsurfer. I am only human and having a low IQ I tend to make mistakes often. Goodluck...:dude:

Thanks for that! This week I am pretty clear on. Next week is foggy to me. My radar really only goes out two days at most. Anything after that is speculation.
Once again. I appreciate that and will PM you over the weekend.:D

As much as I liked the looks of the tally, it didn't look quite right.........

You missed a transfer into the I Fund on May 17.

Myactual total for May is a whopping 0.30.

Could've been better but it's still black ink, right?

imported post

I have me being up about 1.5% for May. No biggie though.

Be careful with those PM's guys. Especially from someone who changes their avatar as often as they change nics. Do your own thing..................:^

I am actually up a lot more with the IRA's that I manage simply because I don't or can't transfer into an "I" fund. I can transfer into international funds, but they sure aren't like our "I" fund. This can be tracked at moneytalk. I'm up 3.21% for the month there. Some of you know this already. Taught me a lesson anyway. STAY AWAY FROM THE "I"................;)

Nice job to all those making money!

Be extra special of the people that can not beat G fund when the S was up over 6 for the month and rant about their great returns day after day after day and their great system.:(
