I've been out stirring up more than enough problems here and there and it's time to come home and just chill and enjoy.

One of my dear friends has me reflecting more and more on "starting over with a brand new Earth".

So I've got tons of stuff to share on that...as that is largely the basis for my existence: "Changing the worlds in which we live"

You never have to worry about having thin skin in this place, and I honestly mean that. My message to you yesterday was all in good fun - and since it was your first visit I felt oblidged to give you a little more attention. The whole political arena is pretty much garbage to me and that includes the entire lot. I believe some started off with good intentions but the system itself mandates a general sense of corruption that dominates (and has to be hidden with pleasant words and friendly smiles). So it's just something I'm not into because to the larger degree we all just go in circles with negative garbage getting flung everywhere.

But the truth is: if I didn't like you - I wouldn't have given you the attention I did. A coma of 6 weeks is probably a much bigger blessing than you realize. Your brain is EVERYTHING and it simply means it went on vacation - to guard against injury - while your body healed. I hope you're doing a lot better. Don't over do it but let the strength return gradually.

As for the TSP Stuff: This has been a very screwed up year. We all are use to "some pattern" we can count on - and most of us have been largely disappointed with what's transpired.

I am 100% S Fund - (and the more Powerful MB Players) are going fully in as well. So this is probably a very good time to go STOCKS.

So where are we??

All of us at the most beautiful beach in the entire Universe and the temperature and humidity is perfect. The sand has no shells or anything else to step on and it's firm for walking but gives just enough so when you lay down it's better than any bed.

Right now some dark clouds are passing over. For half of us "it's doom and gloom" - and they are all thinking: 'OH NO'.

The other half realizes they are simply passing over; but the sun is still bright - the weather is perfect - and the water is sparkling fresh and clear.

So look at the big picture: The deal is going through and ALL the bad news which has dominated the networks will turn to joy. Paulson will undoubtedly prove himself and things will get better. The clouds will pass and the sun will shine through.

Steady my dear friend. Not to steal from CPs expertise, but from life experience, I can say-It pays to watch thunder clouds and take cover when rumbles are ongoing.

Lightning strikes silently, you only hear the rumble after the fact- lightning can strike from 7 miles away, you won't hear the rumble til 7 seconds after the hit.

Thunder cells can operate in circular fashion, especially if slow-moving, ie they can come back shortly after you think the coast is clear.

T-cells can come with horrific downdrafts of wind and blow up a wildfire like you can't imagine. Those conditions can even create their own weather system inside the fire.

Me, I'm willing to wait til my weather indicators say it's a whole lot safer to come out from under cover. :suspicious:

The Treasury will buy up $700 billion of troubled assets from financial institutions. Those assets, mostly mortgage-related, have caused the credit markets to seize up.

So this is what's going on and all need to see it:​

With loads of troubled assets on their balance sheets, banks are hesitant to take on more loans if the risk of default is high. Furthermore, when banks need to write down those assets, they have less cash on hand to issue loans. That stops the financial system's gears from turning, in turn hurting customers who need a loan to finance a home, a car or tuition. Frozen cash flows also affects companies' ability to make payroll, which can result in layoffs. I see this happening all around and this is just the beginning of much worse to follow. So nothing will serve as a better stimulus to motivate the House.

The major aim of the government's bailout plan is to free up banks to start lending again once their balance sheets are cleared of toxic holdings. But legislation is too caught up in Paulson having total control (and the poor tax payers) - BUT CREDIT TIGHTNESS WILL PREVAIL AND WE WILL MAKE THINGS A WHOLE LOT TOUGHER.

The TED spread measures the difference between 3-month Libor and the 3-month Treasury borrowing rates and is a key indicator of risk. The higher the spread, the bigger the aversion to risk. On Thursday, the spread retreated slightly to 3.28% from 3.35% on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the measure surged as high as 3.53%, its highest level in more than 25 years. On Sept. 5, the TED spread was only 1.04%.

That's me, my poetic brother! I always tell people that without adversity we would never learn to "overcome" and appreciate what we have.

By the way, You reminded me of "my" beach in Bonaire....I never had so much fun with my wife as we held hands in the water snorkeling through the coral, watching the fish watch us.

How it got it's name:​

I'm in a weird situation because I know I should be praying with all my heart for the first friend's death - but I can't do it until I know his kids have had the opportunity to see him. It's hard to anyway.

Thank you my friend. I was mainly sharing that to emphasize these tragedies that can 'suddenly' change our lives. So many things are beyond are control and when they happen we can either give up or try to make the best of it.

Lady, this is a touchy subject and I sincerely appreciate your thoughtful response (but this matter is not open for debate or even for reflection). Despite the severity of his injury - and the assurance of no hope for recovery - he is alert and in his right mind. He made it very clear that under no circumstances does he want any proceedure to prolong his life; in fact he very much wants to die and wants it to be soon.

He had not abandoned God, is not angry or bitter with the world, and does not blame God for what happened. He has ZERO quality of life and was under the impression his death would likely come soon.

Because I know him as I do (and out of the deepest love and respect) I would kill him if our culture and legal system permitted this; I really would - especially if he asked me and no one else was willing.

In my eyes I'd take him out of hell and send him on to heaven. That may sound strange - but there may be one or two on Earth that would do this for me. And I would welcome this more than anything possible.

For me (and Tom) when events like this happen we have "a Living Will". Please understand, when we (in our view) have nothing to live for then we want nothing done to delay our death. When you're suddenly in this situation seconds are hours; minutes are years.

Anyway, all of us are but a vapor that is here one moment and gone the next. Along with my loves in life are the wonderful memories that I can treasure forever and ever, but the greatest thing I have ever found or experienced is the blending of wholly perfect energies that are filled with love and admiration and mingled with that was a kiss from "the young one" - a spirit so deep and pure that nothing else could ever compare. So I live for these things and the opportunities to bask in the bonds that exist and all those to come. If I am ever burdened - it's only for a moment.

Believe me when I say that I completely understand what you are saying. I have spent many midnight hours contemplating this and have let everyone around me know that - for me - I believe quality of life is much more important than quantity of life.

I will not wish your friend healing; I will wish him peace.

She asked me how death would approach and I explained to her what she would know and what she wouldn't recognize - that made her comfortable. She ended up passing just the way I said she would. We have her and her husband , both were creamated, in one of my closets waiting for a trip to the North Carolina mountains to be returned to the earth. I offered my help primarily because I've been associated with death my entire life and have never feared it since my war days. When my time is ready I hope someone with understanding compassion will offer me a way home with dignity.

I have no idea how I knew it, but I have known it for a very long time. We are brothers Birch, we have too much in common to not be brothers. I hope that time never comes for either one of us. Let's just hope we fall asleep and never wake up.

Or open our eyes and find that everything we ever knew is so many lightyears away from what we see and know now and experience when our eyes open. That an electric current runs throughout our body and brings us a life far beyond anything we ever knew here. That we have that 'battery pack charge into the purest and highest power' I get when a really good Rock Beat comes on and you're instantly lost in this wonderful world. And that I can float around with an electric guitar perfectly tuned - with distortion and feedback coming from everywhere...
