Steadygain's Account Talk

WOW !! Lots of very high quality - - beautiful posts floating around.

I've had some wonderful inspiring moments today :)

As for the Markets -- it is during periods of VOLITILITY where getting IN and OUT has its Greatest Advantage.

This requires exceeding 'patience' -- and you often learn the hard way how to get better.

So for now I will wait for what I hope will be a very good entry point; much like Frixxxx did when we had a 'beautiful deep dive'. By holding on to his IFT -- he seized the moment.

So I'll enjoy whatever happens and 'Wait for the Moment'.

GL - to all

Hey Steady,

I see you're in early this morning also. I couldn't sleep and got in at 4:15 this morning. But good time to catch up on some work.

Yeah, it's something else.

I got home a little after 9 -- gave Ella a few moments then put her to bed and went to bed at 9:30

Told my wife -- when I wake up at 2 or so in the moring (as I ususally do) instead of going back to sleep -- I'd get up and come here to finish up what I could before work officailly starts.

My daughter is pretty steamed about the way I get dumped on and is all the more aggravated I put up with it. So last night I think she finally understood. If I don't work the way I do -- it's the Patient who suffered and that's the only reason why I do whatever is thrown at me -- because if I drag my feet and stall and wait and say NO -- that I won't see this person --

-- there is absolutely NO WAY anyone else is going to budge because they honestly don't care. So -- like I told her -- I'm very grateful everyone here knows they can always count on me for every problem that comes up -- and all the more -- the worse the situation -- the faster I'm ready to respond.

Well -- good talkin with ya CB.

I hope you noticed my message on the Health Tread to you -- think you'll appreciate it.

Well -- I've got to get crackin' -- later my friend

Oh and on the MARKETS -- Everybody

The 'Pretend Rally' we've just experienced is just that. It's like that sudden -- last burst of energy someone has right before they die. For a moment you think -- WOW !! They're better... then BOOM !!

Well that's what's happening NOW --- Go IN -- Get Burned

Expect ....ummmm.... another 10% drop within 2 weeks.

OK --- later all

If the NYSE continues to exceed its January highs like it's doing today and the percentage of new highs on the NYSE remains below the January highs this creates a negative divergence which could be construed as bearish - then you'd have a reason to be so gloom. But we ain't there yet. Market breadth continues to remain bullish as the cumulative advance-decline for the S&P 500 and the NYSE continues to move past their January 2010 highs.

Birch,

Man I would say this on a stack of Bibles....

...when I made that comment it was in total jest .... and I said it only because all those who really would make a comment like that:

Corepuncher
12%
Uptrend
350z

have walked away with their tail between their legs.

I told you -- and I'm very serious -- my ultimate plan was to sit tight and wait for 'The Correction' to end.

SO FAR -- This is the greatest sign I could imagine.

If somehow -- for some unknown reason -- we would go down 10% in the next 2 weeks -- with all the Buyer Sentiment dominating the Markets -- that would be very shocking to me.

So please know -- from my true perspective -- there simply is no room for 'doom and gloom' at this point.

Only the BOLD - will forever be glad they stayed IN

When those four turn bullish it'll be time to turn cautious - I'm safe awhile longer. :D:D

"How to be a contrarian investor."

Birch,
You're not a 'contrarian investor'

Geeze -- I knew Contrarian Investor - he was a good friend of mine and we served together for many years ...

so let me let you Mr. Birch -- you are NO contrarian investor

You are a B&Her !!!

My doctorial thesis was 'Contrarian Investor' vs 'B&Her'

However -- I guess on the MB you could easily be regarded as one.

B&H -- achieved as a whole Maximum Gains - 2009
...........achieved as a whole Maximum Gains - 2010

When will the rest of us learn Birch ??
Yet you don't seem to annoyed with us -- in fact you actually seem to enjoy sailing to the TOP

The higher up we go the more anxiety produced - from the fear of missing out on further gains.

Theres no doubt a lot of those here are sensing this market is blowin smoke.

I expect we are going to see some sideways movment with a gradual rise...this is will keep the dip buyers at bay and the faint of heart outside. (boy, I sound like birchtree)

Where are they today? We need some people to bring us (especially Birch) down off the clouds:cheesy:!

I missed out on the first couple of percent this drive is doing...waiting for a breakdown for a double low that never happened. I've been in since last week and and am not missing out on the profits to be made over the next couple. Of course, now that I've said that, and being as contrarian as Birch, we should see a 250 point S&P fall before next Friday;)

Where are they today?

I told you 'they walked away..'

and where was their tail as they left ???

See -- that's the thing --- the more you say things like:
900 point drop
prove me wrong and so on and so forth....

the more you feel embarassed when the Markets keep soaring.

We need some people to bring us (especially Birch) down off the clouds:cheesy:!

Not at all - you guys deserve to be as high as you can get for taking advantage of a growing Bull Market that proved itself since 3/09

I think we should start using terms like Bull Rahm --- more in the positive aspect. A day like today for instance we could say -- Man, ain't this a bunch of Bull Rahm ....

or Wow have we been majorly flooded with Bull Rahm this week. :D

And somewhere down the line when it goes down a tag -- we can say Whoa -- the Bear Rahm is getting bad.

Anyway -- I'm honestly thrilled for all who make out big by staying in and being in this whole week. In retrospect -- Tom said something as the week started like 'He's in and is expecting to really Load up the Truck this week. -- Now That's impressive.

Yet still for some reason -- I feel like I can say that everyone of you guys and girls are Lilly Padders to me -- no matter where you are; simply because once in a blue I've got no quams saying that kind of stuff. Somehow -- I think everyone of you needs to hear that stuff once in awhile just to keep the balance.

New commers -- first time ever on the site -- YES - I mean you too

Birchtree is washing the street today with fine bull tinky - becareful of your shoes. Let's close at 10,600 or as close to it as we can get.

Don't get any on your tail lights:p!!!

And Steady, I feel honored to be called a "Lilly Padder" by you...even if I'm not sure what you mean!

Now, before I get tied down on the reading of a page long response on the definition of a Lilly Padder...I'm out to have a great weekend (right after I finish a 3:30 court appearance). Have a great one everybody!!!

Thanks man -- hope court goes really well !!

You have a great weekend as well !!

Lilly Padder is basically the ultimate insult --especially when Markets are doing good !!

It's the one and only time I've ever called Birch that -- but since I'm saying it across the board -- then I mean every single person .. young, old, member or vistor, guy or gal, no matter what race or nationality -- no one and I mean absolutely no one is spared or safe.

Because this day - everyone is a Lilly Padder to me.;)

Birch -- you don't have to run and get your calculator

I guar an dam tee you -- you made well over $500 dollars today :D:D

You can add $43,500 to that - now watch what happens Monday if we continue the recent pattern.

That's wonderful Birch !! :D:D

Seriously - I am very thrilled for ya !

I may even go out for a nice dinner to cellebrate -- cause if we are finally over this damn correction which seems like 6 months to me ..

... then I'm not making the same mistake I did back in 3/09

So in the end -- all of us are winners !!!

Going Higher does not make me anxious to go in at all -- I need a real confirmation the correction is honestly over and I could care less what any doom and gloomer says.

Hey did you realize that's more than you made working as a Fed Employee -- $44K one day -- sit back and relax Birch - you deserve it.

Thanks Birch -- Excellent Read

Would like to end the week asking everyone one last question. The sun is shining and the weather is looking good. The Markets have far exceeded anyone's expectations this week and we ended on the best day ever. It's Friday and the weekend is starting ... :):D

So tell me the truth .... is anyone in kind of a gay mood ???

I won't be back till Monday -- but please fill my home with your thoughts and tell me -- how do you feel ??
