Squalebear's Account Talk

Squalebear,
Hello my sweet little brother.
I just noticed you're a Planet - wow that is cool.
Who needs Pleuto when we've got you around.
Well have a good night.

"And a rock feels no pain,,, and an island never cries" {Simon&Garfunkle} :embarrest:
Easy on the Sweet, Heavy on the Brother, my good friend. After all, I do
have appearances to maintain. :toung: So Wuuuuuuz Uuuuuup ! ;)

Tell me, how long before my stubborn big brother begins to take some of
that (I) and moves it to (G) ? You know, you had one heck of a Monday !
I'm just wondering how much your willing to give back to the Reaper!

Great to see your writing again in your other thread.
I always enjoyed the escape of reading your well authored words.
Good Luck Tomorrow !

Barclays Adds To Overpayment by Nearly 1%, While Blue-Chip Index Suffers From The Second Biggest Point Drop in History !

If ever there was a time for the Fund Mgrs. to add to the overpayment, it was today. The two things wrong with what I'm seeing is; 1) It was only 1%.
2) It will get paid back sooner then later. So anyone at risk in the (I) Fund today, who decided to bail today, may have saved themselves from a little more grief. Retesting the lows, we saw last Friday, might very well be expected. But this feels different. I thought the fears of the Global Economy wouldn't come into play for a bit longer. Obviously, they consumed the thoughts of investors and we've paid a steep price today. Once again, we see some very cheap prices and oversold conditions. Or do we ? They might be cheap, but they could be cheaper tomorrow. Thus the risk might outweigh reward. Its been a crazy, frustrating and down right scarey Wednesday. I find my own account at its same level as it was on Friday. Whats a guy/gal to do with such extraordinary circumstances. Fundamentals have been thrown out the window. Fear and Lack of Confidence overrides the Market place. The result will be Big Time Loses or Big Time Gains. I'm not fully invested (41%) into the risk funds and I'm taking it day to day as many of us are. Keep that chin up but realize that noboby is willing to call a "Bottom" from hear.

You know what is frustrating is that this market has become SO UNPREDICTIBLE. Just one small hint of bad news and the market panic sells. Good news cannot sustain the market for more than a day. I was hoping we would see two or three positive days, that would give me back about half of what I lost the last couple of weeks. Not being greedy, just 10% back of the 20-30% I have lost. Then back to G and hope to get back to even by the end of the year. I guess I just had to vent.......
SB, Thanks for letting me use your house.:D

You only have to look at my avatar to know my feelings about the F Fund.
Hope all is well there O'l Squalebear, I'm just dropping by to say hi and thanks for the updates!

Careful my friend, this is a time for cool heads and smart moves. If your
venting takes emotion out of the equation of investing, then vent some
more. Let loose, heck, spew out some curse words out while your at it.
When your done, take a look at the charts I'm posting and tell me what
you see. ;) Its nice to think of this place as a HomeBase. One in which
every TSPTalk member has the ability to express their opinion. The thanks
goes to you for sharing your thoughts on my thread and allowing me to
participate in highly intelligent conversation ! ;)

What, you feel the (F) Fund is like a green vagina ? The (F) Fund tends
to do better over a long stretch of bad news. But these time are unique
and can't help but effect all funds negatively. When you hear investor
running into Bonds for safety, that doesn't mean the (F) Fund is going to
represent a move upward. In fact, I'm feeling my gut twist with the notion
that most Bond Funds are next in line for some very hard times. But again,
please check out the charts I'm about to post and Thanks For The Well
Wishes. ;)

Oh Squalebear, KevinD's gonna get you. Charts too small for boomer eyes. Hard to see the detail, or even your insert comments. I know, I'll be the harda$$ this time, can you please make the charts a little bigger, please, pretty please, for me? :o

Oh, and that thing about the green v? wow, is that something like trying to climb back into the womb or something? I had to "stretch" a little on that one. What if mommy doesn't want you back? It hurt a lot to put you out there in that cold cruel world after all, and you're a lot bigger boy now than you were back then. :p

You jumped the Picture Editing Gun a bit, but I'm glad your paying
attention. As far as the avitar comment, even at my age, we tend
to be drawn to the womb, even if its not a "fitting" topic. One thing
is for sure, after reading what I wrote, even I had a good laugh. ;)
I'll be back with my edited Charts soon !

I did my best, but it wasn't good enough.
I'll email the charts home and post them
in the morning. I'm interested in seeing
our membership's thought and comments.

SB,
Today is going to be another scary day. Nikkie down 11.4%. Europe not doing well either. We can only hope that the US market doesn't follow suit. This has to be a halloween horror story. "Month of the Living Dead TSPer's"

Futures are up a little -- but I've seen this movie before and I don't like the ending

I don't agree. But my track record speaks volumes as I've posted. I'm
feeling a 3% day may be in store for us. Lets hope it comes true. After
all; Bush, Bernanke and Paulson aren't scheduled to speak today. Thats
100 pts. easy to the plus side. ;)

Hi Squale, I was very interested in the charts you mentioned in posts last night. Are you having too many problems getting them to post?

I have serious problems posting images to the MB. It started right after my computer dowloaded a major Vista upgrade. And often I get the little x instead of being able to see images that others have uploaded to the MB as well. So I don't think it's a PEBCAC* error but maybe it is.

Anyway, good luck and hope you can get the charts to upload. Thanks again for all you do!
