Squalebear's Account Talk

Mine was 4/4/2009, but I didn't have your type of nudge! 1 year anniversary coming up....And yes, it was cold turkey just like You!:toung:

With 5 attempts to quit in my past, I still managed to justifying a return to
the Tar & Nicotene addiction ! With 4 months being my longest effort, I'm
certain it was the Mental Addiction which kept me puffing. Come May of 09,
the mental addiction was the first thing to go ! But NOT entirely ! I now
recognize, as alcoholics do, that I'll be a recovering smoker for the rest
of my life ! I still love it when someone lights up around me, but believe
you me, thats as far as I'll ever go again !

Congrats on your upcoming 1 Year Anniversary of Strength ! That tube of
tobacco will never control your behavior again ! Keep it going my good friend ! ;)

Just like you, I feel the call from time to time. Keep the faith and maintain an even flow, and I'm sure 90 will not be hard to achieve.....

I just started the Insanity workout and I am shredding my weight very quickly!

Most people that have been long term smokers will at some point end up terribly allergic to the smoke they come in contact with - why I don't know.

Thanks GUCHI, thats very much appreciated.:) Frixxx, don't go too insane on the weight, its my experience that women don't like bone bags.

Currently, the $EFDY (the symbol I use to track the I-Fund) is looking nice
with a +1.37% gain this morning. BUT WAIT ! That is misleading because
the $EFDY is showing an overpayment of $0.14 TSP Cents. I'm not sure
what the current FV looks like, however, that means I'll need to subtract
approximately 0.80% from its closing price come 12:45ish pm. In reality,
the $EFDY is up +0.58% not the +1.37% mentioned above. Recently, the
Fund Managers have opted to wipe out any overpayment the very next
trading day. I see no reason why this should change today. In conclusion,
hoping for more then +1.37% might normally appear abit greedy.

"NOT THIS TIME !"

Best of Luck everyone ! Remember, you can't win if you don't play ! But in the Stock Market, there's always room to lose more ! ;)

Gee, I always thought they were simply turning into the typical
non-smoker ! (Ahhh, pooh, get that thing away from me) AND
smoking in the -15 degree temperatures outside, got old real fast.

Hey, Brother Bear, good to see you around again!

Lady

The hills are alive, with the sound of music, my fair lady ! Its always grand to exchange
thoughts with a supreme moderator ! In other words, I have
missed you bunches and your the best ! ;)

Ok, I've burnt myself out, but it was great to finally sit down and conversate with my good friends ! ;)

I'm going to the Tracker and updating a change I'm about to make !
I'm pulling half of my risk out of the (I) Fund ! That will put me at;

50%(G) and 50%(I)

Then I'll go to the TSP website and finalize the deal ! :)
Good Luck to us all ! ;)

REFERENCED IN THE ABOVE POST BY SCOUT333: Thanks Scout ! I agree with you 100% and quiting takes alot of guts after so many years of addiction !

I quit some 40 years ago and still feel the urge every once in awhile. It is a powerful drug! Good luck to ya we want you to stay around!:)

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- A wave of disappointing
economic reports has revived fears that the recovery is
unsustainable, upping the ante for this week's batch of
economic news, including the big February jobs report
Friday.

Monday: The Commerce Department releases its January personal income
and spending reports before the start of trading. Income is expected to
have risen 0.4% after climbing 0.4% in the previous month. Spending is
expected to have increased 0.4% after gaining 0.2% in the previous month. :)

The PCE deflator, the report's inflation component, is expected to have
risen 0.1% after advancing 0.1% in the previous month. Construction
spending, due out after the start of trading, is expected to have fallen
0.6% in January after decreasing 1.2% in the previous month. :worried:

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) releases its manufacturing
index after the start of trading. The ISM index is expected to have fallen
to 58 in February from 58.4 in January, which would still indicate an
expansion in the sector. :)

S&P 500 FUTURES ARE CURRENTLY UP NICELY (2:46AM) +7.00 pts OR +0.63%

SB, Thanks for the update. But what the heck are you doing up at 2:45 in the morning messing around with the computer. You should be sleeping. :D

Have a great day.

You should be sleeping.

NASA, I was thinking the same thing. Of course,
I do my best reading in the early morning hours.

I haven't been able to rid myself of the 19 year old habit of working the Graveyard Shift.:o

I was on that shift sooooo long, I began to feel like a vampire wondering the night. :worried:

Now, it's my meds that determines if I get out of my coffin in the we hours of the morn !

I'm extremely lucky that I have a place to go (TSPtalk) and some friends that I can try and help !;)

Otherwise, those nights could feel like they're lasting an eternity ! (Forever Night Reference)

I was seriously considering a move out of the market today. (This would have been my first move in March). Even though I believe that we're going down soon, something told me to stay put. With ADP and Friday's JOBS Report looming, I will once again look like a genius or idiot come the end of this week. Here's hoping the S&P wants to hit 1140 before hitting some strong resistance. Good Luck !

Hello my Galaxy Loving friend. I watched the VIX hit 18 today. Interesting !
Low Volume has dictated this market recently. Volitility is about to rise significantly.
I saw your post a minute ago and had a thought. When the market floats close to
being negative, then, the last 20 minutes becomes a rally,,,, we don't look at the two
scenarios the same,,,,,but they are ! Today looked grand and ended in the green but
not as it looked earlier in the day !;)

The (I)Fund has $0.13 TSP Cents to pay back, so that +1.17% closing will look more like a +0.47% (Better then the US though)

How true. I will have to give some serious thought into whether I jump into G tomorrow or not.
