First, I must appologize for not being able to attend our typical daily gathering of the minds. Everyone here is like a neighbor who you haven't seen in weeks. But we take comfort in knowing that they are never far away. Many have actually reach family status. That means you talk to them even less, but your heart is filled with their love. So, with that being said ! I'll stop and say this one last thing. I miss all of you and I mearly live across the street from you !

I am $2600 away from my TSP high point. Yesterday the futures did not look good and yesterday was a good day. I think financials will be the big players today. It may be one of those good news, bad market days. Sure hope not. :blink:

Down but not out, I made my last IFT for January, which will be effective
on February 1st (Monday) and still have 2 Regular IFT's left in February.

Yup ! The market kicked our booties alright ! I don't know if it got its fill of
kicking us while we're down, but we can hope (can't we). The day started
off on a positive note when "Personal Income" rose above expectations. I
was alittle surprised because "Personal Spending" was below expectations.
With that said, the futures are "GREEN" and we can only pray that Obama
doesn't say anything troublesome, Construction Spending doesn't put a
damper on things AND the ISM Index comes through nicely!

I'm holding my breathe ! Good Luck !

By the way ! The (I) Fund has a 0.14 TSP Cent deficite to make up for.
I use $EDFY to track the (I) Fund and it's only down -0.10% currently.
That would put us ahead at +0.70%

Keep those fingers crossed !

Well 350z, the Thrift Savings Plan fooled us both and gave us a surprising
overpayment (in comparison to the $EFDY) of approximately $0.26 cents.
This resulted in a +1.66% gain in the (I) Fund yesterday ! Sweeeeet !!!!!:cheesy:

Currently, I have the (I) Fund overpaid by $0.12 cents and that will likely
come off any gains that the $EFDY has. As of now, it's up +1.03% and
the 12 cents is equivilent to 0.67%. That leaves us +0.36% (I'll take it).

I bailed prematurely yesterday, but I think you nailed it. I'm itching to get back in soon. Just need a little pullback tomorrow or sometime this week.

I agree 350z, in fact I would like to see a few days go red before a bounce.
We seem to be trading in a well defined zone. Seeing the S&P break
1100 got my attention but only closed 3 pts. above that. Resistance
was Futile (The Borg Reference) and now we're almost a full % below
yesterdays close. Any-who, the day is still young and anything can
happen. Good Luck to you and be patient big guy !

I'm reminded that markets take the stairs up and elevator down. Cash is King with one IFT in the bank, there's nothing wrong with stepping aside to let this market sort things out. I'd rather risk losing a 3% gain than gaining a 6% lose...

Yesterday the (I) Fund took $0.10 TSP Cents more then the ETF's claimed it lost.
Today, we still have $0.01 TSP Cents more to give back !
If down, the (I) Fund will end down just abit more then the EFT closing.
If up, we need very little in addition to show a profit.
