Squalebear's Account Talk

HEY THERE, GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS ? IT'S TIME TO GLOAT ! HEY, I HAVE A RIGHT !

While the TSP kicks the butt out of the S&P500 and Wilshire4500 on a MTD basis, both the S&P500 and Wilshire4500 are about +2.6x% MTD. The MSCI EAFE INDEX is also +3.21% while the (I) Fund is up +5.45% (NICE !) Of coarse, the spread will shrink over time and they'll once again come close on a MTD basis by years end. So whats there to gloat about anyway? Well, I am up +2.48% MTD and thats no easy task, considering the fact that I drop rabbit pellets every investment day ! Then again, most of you know what kind of investor I am (Hit & Run). Ok, since the limits I've increase my (Buy & Hold) strategy out of survival and fight the establishment with my <1%IFT Method. In real-time figures, I've had a full +19% turn around from the pits to the peak. Considering the YTD average of the (C),,,(S) and (I) holds around +23%,,,,,,,MY +19% turn around took advantage of most of that +23%,,,, so it didn't go to waste . Yes, this year saw me in a pretty steep hole, but I didn't look back and kept my goals realistic and achievable. Sprinkle and pinch of Luck on that cake and you've got a GREEN YTD bonus by the end of August ! NOT BAD AT ALL ! ;)

Oh Yes, one more thing ! I have 131,000 Views on this thread ! I guess people find my posts interesting and helpful ! Not too shabby considering the time it took to reach such a well established achievment. I'm in glorious company, but this pounding of the chest wouldn't be possible without the membership ! So with that I wish to say Thanks !

happy now???? geez....spread the wealth to the L funds eh.

I'm absolutely loving it !

Speaking of the (L) Funds, the Thrift Savings Board found it
odd that many TSP members who participate in the (L) Funds
spread their money across several of the (L) Funds, instead of
selecting (one) fund based on their estimated retirement date.
If I'm not mistaken, this tidbit was published in the most recent
minutes of the FRTIB Monthly Meeting.

To the TSP Board, it's quite simple ya know ! The responsibility
to educate the TSP Membership has always fallen on you ! The
Thrift Savings Board have failed once again to meet those basic
requirements. Because of the incompetance of the FRTIB, we now
have thousands of members who think the (L) Funds were simply
six more funds to spread their money into ! Indeed, it's sad to see !

I get a kick out of (and honored) to hear from my long standing friend
L2R (Luv2read). May the (L) Funds bring everyone wealth beyond their
imagination ! As for me, I think I'll stick with the tried and tested funds.

L2R, your the best !

BOY OH BOY ! AM I GONNA GET IN TROUBLE FOR MY LAST POST. I GUESS
I'M STILL FEELING BADLY ABOUT THE FRTIB NAZI'S MONTHLY LIMITS !

Maybe the FRTIB will punish you by giving you some extra IFT's so that you might use them and loose some money because you got greedy and tried to pad your retirement fund. BAD! BAD! SB!!

I've always been greedy ! However, BAD BAD SB never lost more then he
gained after becoming aware of IFT Heaven. But that was before those
darn limits. In fact, I took extreme pleasure in beating the crap out of all
the Risk Funds YTD for the few years that labeled me an EVIL Daytrader.
(LoL).

Oh well, spilt milk ! At this stage of the game, I shouldn't be all
the way in any how. But you know me better then that ! Greed
is my middle name ! Heck, just call me the Gordon Gekko of the
new millenium. That would suite me just fine. (LoL).

Oh yes, let me not forget the topic at hand ! "POOH" (FRTIB) "POOH" !

Happy Labor Day indeed, my friend! LOL, for one whose labors are only about to start (didja see that honey-do list Kelly's been saving up the past 20 years?), you're in a fine mood, Ollie!

Here I always thought honey-do was a mellon It's enough to drive a man to smoke ! (NOT) !

I don't want to either, but we had our first frost Tue. am, exactly 32 degrees!

ooh, you beat us! It dropped to low 40's here the other night. I only just picked the first ripe cherry tomato last night, nothing else ripe yet except herbs and hot peppers. Starting a garden from scratch last spring meant seeds and plants went in late. Will go better next spring now that I have beds created and prepped.

Ordered heavy-duty commercial frost-protect fabric over the weekend-hope it gets here in time-squash, tomatoes, beans need a few more growing weeks yet before I let them go. In the meantime, cold frame construction progressing slowly. I'll get there tho.
