That's an excellent observation my friend and usually a significant sign.


This is a more realistic messure on the TRUE STRENGTH of our economy


However over the next month (or so) the best way to assess a person's ability to manage their TSP Account will not be by the Gains they make - but by the losses they avoid - much like 1/08
 
I may be a day late here (on getting out of F), but at least I won't be a penny short :p 100% G.
Last IFT move for March (move #3 into G) to stay in the rulz.

I expect a little uptick in stocks: new contributions 25% C, 50% S, 25% I
 
Ok, so I'm a penny short, I was at 80G/20F not 100G yet when the penny dropped. :mad: But I'm up to -0.04% this year (give or take a little since I like to change new contributions around) after the gains from selling F yesterday, nearly out of the hole. ;)

F paid more than G - so you came out ahead.

Also 0.04% is too trival to even consider. Would be better to reassess your TSP Account by saying "Despite the huge losses in the Markets this year - and the steeper drop to come - I broke even and now am 100% G Fund." Now that sounds a lot more impressive and still conveys the truth. Good job my friend.

Nice. That's the ticket. Look at the good side of it all.
 
Still new contributions in stocks, expecting stock prices to fall - which means I buy for :nuts: Cheep. No more IFTs for March, hope there won't be a huge fools rally ending with a letdown before April, but even if there is I'm not going to lose much. Ok, in the big game new contributions are small stuff but it beats sitting around, and they can't complain even if I change contributions every day because it's just a change in what I'm buying and not a matter of selling by TSP where they could - gasp - pay out some money.:toung:
 
:confused: Hrrmmm. Contribution change on the 20th, paycheck and deductions on the 24th, no sign of any money in C, S, or I yet. I'll check again tommorow.
 
Still got the tips of my toes in CSI (0.09%, 0.18%, 0.09% YMMV since I have loans out) from the contribution on the 26th, I would have done an IFT if I had another under the radar transaction available and put more in CSI than less than 0.2% each, but you put in what you can.:suspicious:

Short term looks good but medium term I don't think all the shoes are out of Imelda Finance's closet yet. Especially looking funny at National City, they seem to be swimming still but some signs they may be looking for a buyout -- and they have my mortgage.:notrust:
 
I don't think the fundamentals are there, I'm dumping my CSI while I have a gain. Grumble, it's only the 3rd and I'm doing an IFT. I'm going to stick in a litle F into the mix. 90% G, 10% F. I've got meetings all day so have to do it now.
 
Going to fold, 100 % G for IFT. Waiting to change new contributions until before paycheck. F's returns over the period I've had it at 10% are about the same as G, not worth investing in at the moment against the sure thing (G).

Waiting for the latest mini-rally to end before looking at stocks again, buying near the top of the game is asking for a dive.:toung:
 
Biweekly Payroll move (new contributions): 60% C 40% S for this paycheck. IFT stays at 100%G. Looks like C and S taking a breather today, don't trust I or F with Barclay news.
