Wow, I am betting the S&P by 10%.......BUT I am still negative for the year. It doesn't give the the warm-fuzzy that I would like though. The perma bulls are holding onto some serious declines.
It is very difficult to beat the averages with our limited IFT's.

That is a fact and why I pulled my contributions back to 5% while maxing out two Roth's for '07 and '08. At my current rate of return between the wife and my accounts I will not loose any sleep over borrowing against my TSP.

Section A of todays Wall Street Journal about unemployment numbers being not a true reflection of the actual number of unemployed. Only 37% of the nations unemployed are counted in the unemployment numbers.

I know I've talked about it before, but I am very tempted to do the same. Right now it's a 3.875% interest rate i'd be paying myself. Assuming I would be in G fund anyway, I'm only losing potential G gains, which isn't much. Could I beat my TSP account (assuming I trade 2 a month) by 3.875%? Not sure I can. Plus, I"m afraid it would take too much of my time!

What will you be in Norman for? I live in Norman, as do a couple others I think (kar?).

That is a number I can believe.

Hey Gumby,

You see the levels at Mark Twain Lake? Broke the record and they are releasing over 38,000 cubic feet per second and after last nights rain will likely release more. Evacuating Salt River folk. Closed lake to all boating.

I was up there in 1993 when the lake was 0.3 feet below the maximum level during that big flood ~636.4. Yesterday the lake was above 638. I have friends that have their cropland being flooded as I type this down below New London.
The lake has raised about 15 feet since last Friday.
No good for people in low lying areas. Looks like more rain is coming today.

I never seen it this high. I was on 24 to Moberly and there was water everywhere. It looked like you could not get a boat under the railroad bridge. What a wet year, I had 1.5" yesterday and at least that much or more last night.

OK here is the deal. I called the wife (she is the best wife) and had her sell because bulls make money, bears make money, and pigs get slaughtered. Sold the position for a 9.82% profit.

Profit probability was at a maximum at the 200 dma so take the profit and wait for the high probability position.

Roth is currently up 43% YTD and very happy!!!:nuts::nuts::nuts:

WOW!!!! :):)
Now, if you could do that with our limited TSP funds....I'd be twice as impressed!!!

I'm about to give up on the TSP trading. They have tied our hands and I will use it for loans only. Pay off the loan, wait 90 days, and take out the max to boost my private accounts. They have managed to total decimate any chance of me building a very large TSP account while ensuring that their private sector friend are well taken care of.

I'm not far behind you Show-Me. I stopped contributing to TSP when the IFT limits went into effect. I don't get the matching funds anyways, so it's no great lose, especially with the trading limits imposed.

Whatever happened to the countless members who were eagerly ready to take legal action or at least ready to request an investigation from the abusive behavior? Do we all have Attention Deficit disorders or have they been silenced by threats?

I am sorry to hear that, the no 5% match that is. I don't blame you one bit.

There is still an investigation going on including all records and whatever action is taken is not up to us. There are those who thought they could run this retirement fund with no watch dog looking all their actions well they were wrong that is all I will/can say.
