Ha. Thanks. :) I actually delay posting it to give you guys a chance to weigh in. If I really tried, and if this website is hitting on all cylinders, I could have it up in about five minutes.

I should've asked this long ago...is there a deadline for when to post my next day guess?

Good question!

I think it started out being by market close. Which is unrealistic when folks have real accounts to trade by the close. Then I think it was like, 6pm ET.

But guesses came in much later than that. (I'm guilty of this too.) We accepted them, and still do.

I think the concern was using the futures etc. to gain an advantage. That's why I started only doing late guesses when they were contrary to the futures; which is why I would sometimes note the futures direction on those posts.

Me personally, I don't think the futures (being simply up or down) are a viable leading indicator of the close. (Though I'm sure that a correlation exists and can be exploited using a well tuned system.) So my unofficial cut-off is the market open: 9:30am.

To be put on the spreadsheet, 4:15pm ET to be sure. (Sometimes later, depends on what I've got going over here.)

I'm sure this doesn't apply in your case, but to note for the record: a day trading system that takes past the close to yield results is unrealistic as any real system would generally have to trade before closing. If you've updated your system, and it would've come up with that position had it been update prior to the close is one thing. But a system that relies upon information obtain at or after closing (the closing price, for example); or that takes time to calculate its results, past closing...is quite another.

But Ebb has the official say in these matters.:)

S-Fund Challenge Results for 30 MAY 2014!*

*The Challenge has been updated. It now deducts trading fees and simulates trading 3X leveraged funds (incl. inverse) of the DWCPF (S-Fund).

Trades to and from CASH cost $5. LONG to SHORT trades and vice versa cost $10. If your daily position is correct with respect to the S-Fund, three times the S-Fund percentage change is applied to your balance, and vice versa.

These changes also apply to "*S-Fund" and other 'robot' traders. These improvements are retroactive.:)

Perhaps we could change the name of this thread to something more fitting since it obviously has nothing to do with trading the S fund, which can only be "traded" once per month. Perhaps something like "trading 3X ETFs with margin challenge"? Better yet, why not take the whole thread over to ETFtalk.com and let Ebb advertise there? I'm sure he can make a lot more money selling his strategy to day traders than he can TSP folks, if it actually works.

Actually, it is based upon the S-Fund, or more correctly, the underlying. If this were a TSP Challenge, then we would probably just trade twice per month; or we could probably just stick to using the autotracker.

BTW, I never knew Ebb was selling anything, or had a website, until you kept mentioning it a while back. That's what made me search for it. I think you're his biggest advertiser:blink:

:)

Intrepid, the check is in the mail. :D

We aren't all as stupid as we look.................;)

Keep it, you apparently need all the help you can get and I feel bad about taking all your subscribers in the first place.

Have you considered doing a posting challenge at your website like tsptalk is now? This would likely increase your adsense revenue if nothing else.
