S-fund Challenge! Guesses

Actually, it is based upon the S-Fund, or more correctly, the underlying. If this were a TSP Challenge, then we would probably just trade twice per month; or we could probably just stick to using the autotracker.

BTW, I never knew Ebb was selling anything, or had a website, until you kept mentioning it a while back. That's what made me search for it. I think you're his biggest advertiser:blink:

:)

We aren't all as stupid as we look.................;)

It's a true statement. I even PM'd a well known third party (not talking about Ebb in this case) to that exact effect a while back.

You really should accept the check.

You joined in here in Jan 2014 and one of your first posts was asking about Ebb. It really doesn't matter to me either way. I was just replying to your "cute" little comment. Back to my little side of the world. Toodles.......................

LOL, Hopefully, that third party will see fit to enlighten you. You wouldn't happen to be wearing a tin foil hat would you?

My comments were in response to the haterism you brought to this thread in reply to my post. If your ETF strategy is the best in the world, why all the hate? Simply just do what you do. Let others do what they do. Why try to stop others from having ETF strategies re: the S-Fund? What are you really afraid of? How long have you felt this way? Have you talked to someone about this?

You came here telling me we/Ebb should rename this thread. Rename your own thread if you just have to have something renamed to what you think it should be called. But I'm the one accused of being cute? LOL

Or maybe just join the Challenge and let your ETF trading prowess do all the talking. INTREPID VS EBBCHARTS--EPIC BATTLE FOR ALL THE MARBLES ..............thought so.:worried:

Keep letting that beautiful light of yours shine:)

Yep....toodles.

LMAO. If I think I have a peashooter for a system, I'd have a big chip on my shoulder too. He's got to find himself a bazooka real soon for confidence. Good luck with that. :D

I simply felt the name of this thread should be changed for the sake of all the new people that join here every day as it is confusing about what it is trying to accomplish. If you took it as "haterism", I apologize. Perhaps that is your own personal issue though?

As far as me vs Ebb, you obviously haven't been around very long. He's never accepted my own challenge. It's still on the table if he ever wishes to accept. The person with lowest TSP return at the end of the year goes away. Pretty simple huh? I'll even go the 3X ETF route and put my swing trading system up against his daily trading system. Again, pretty simple no?

You assume too much. I planned to be out of the premium service before you even asked, so I couldn't accept. But if you really want it, you got it. :)

My TSP is currently at +9.78%.

Perhaps we could change the name of this thread to something more fitting since it obviously has nothing to do with trading the S fund, which can only be "traded" once per month. Perhaps something like "trading 3X ETFs with margin challenge"? Better yet, why not take the whole thread over to ETFtalk.com and let Ebb advertise there? I'm sure he can make a lot more money selling his strategy to day traders than he can TSP folks, if it actually works.

1. I'll let the readers decide if your OP was hateristic, since you can't man up and admit that. My issues are fine. I was minding my own business before that post of yours.

2. I was here years ago. Not often and never posted anything. In 2013, couldn't remember my credentials. In 2014, re-registered. I do remember reading about you then, and I can still read your old posts now.

3. I could speculate, but Ebb should respond here regarding your challenge.

4. How about you and me...a challenge (ETF, swing)? You've seen the Tally. Surely you can beat me:)

BTW, before anyone starts placing your bets, it looks like EBB had a good April and May and he is too be congratulated. However, he apparently started trading his new double patterns on April 29th of last year and is up 11.39% since that time while the S fund is up 24.42% over the same period. Yes, that means he made about 1.61% over the last eight months of last year. HE is the one that claims no system is as good as his, not ME. I did make 16.89% over the same period though, not including my G fund earnings.

You aren't worth my time buddy. I've seen people like you come and go, yet I'm still here. Build up a good track record and we'll talk.

It all depends on where my triple patterns are. From 2007-2012, all 14 triple patterns were successful in both bear and bull markets. Last year (2013), all 4 triple patterns failed to beat the S-fund, but the new TSP system still had a gain +14.92% (only time it didn't beat the S&P 500 index). This year, all 3 triple patterns were successful, and couple that with the double patterns, and we got ourselves a gain of +9.78%. That's 17 of 21 patterns working out for a success rate of 81%. Everything comes in cycles. :D

You/Ebb,

Do you know when Ebb started using the other patterns? (triple/quadruple)

Ive known about the triple patterns way before but i didn't understand it back then. I only discovered its timeline in 2012, and how successful it was in dodging the bear market (and catching the bull market). I used the triple patterns in 2012 to beat the S&P 500. I was still using the I-fund in early 2013, and left a lot of gains on the table (11%, I think). That's when I started (April) using the S-fund exclusively for equities.
