Not sure the bulls have the cojones, but who knows.
Uh, maybe they do... Pre-market trading is taking things higher, still lower than close, but higher... Let's see what happens. I may have to cover my shorts at the open if there is indications that the bears are wimps and let the bulls take this market much higher...

I am impressed, the bulls have turned the futures positive this morning (even with the bad news out of Europe) so I guess we just have to see where this market goes...

I still don't think that this little pre-market rally changes the fact that this market is going down more (bear flag broken, targetting, say, 1000 or less)...
 
Well, bears have wimped out and are letting the bulls take over...

Really, really close to my stop (actually pierced it intra-minute), but I am holding out for a bear come-back. I think we may be even or a little up today and then down next week... :D

Well, I still think I am going to keep my shorts over the week-end... I know crazy :nuts:

I am not comfortable enough with holding a long over the week-end even though Monday might be an up day. There has been too much battling between bulls and bears today after the big drop yesterday; consolidations? maybe?

Longer term we haven't seen the bottom, so I am prepared for that. I may try to take advantage of any small upswings in the mean time.

To answer your question, I am still in USAA. I will be transferring to ThinkorSwim (referral from a friend - who gets something for the referral???) as soon as things settle down and I can be either (1) stuck in an equity or (2) all in cash, for a few weeks(days?) while it transfers...

USAA is slow and only has basic trading tools (VERY basic).

how are you able to keep up with J-trader trading? it seems like he been flipping signal daily

I don't trade all of my account so I can deal with the 3 day settlement. I usually trade a 3rd, with confirmation another 3rd, then sell when it's time, leaving another 3rd to start with the next signal... I usually don't miss a signal from him or anyone else unless I go off the range and am stuck underwater in a trade. I really need to work my stop issues... ;)

Wow, I see the Socialists have been busy on this forum this week-end. I just stopped by after a long day of working on the "Honey-Do" list and well, I am worried for where this country is going...

Anyway, to those who work hard for what you have; good on ya. For those that don't; shame on you.

For those that want to give away other people's money (not yours), shame on you mostly...

This fantastic document doesn't say provide welfare to those that don't have everything they want. It says to promote the general Welfare.

Welfare:
The health, happiness, and fortunes of a person or group.

This isn't a mandate to give money to people when they aren't doing as good as their neighbor. When they can't, and they aren't given money, maybe they will work harder and maybe then they can have the same things as their neighbor. I guess it's just too easy to buy on credit, then not pay it because the company they didn't pay back "can afford it"... where is personal responsibility these days...

I'm not a socialist. I do believe in the American Dream which worked very well for the most part. It didn't work in the gilded age or now, but I believe we will recover and the middle class will grow again and we will have a diamond shape to our income equality which leads to prosperity and wealth. Opportunity is what makes America great. Time to get back to our strengths.

Well, well, well... has been an interesting week-end here on the forums. I guess the day of rage spills over everywhere.

All of this talk almost makes me want to sell everything I have, give it to the "poor" and then move into section 8 housing, get all the fantastic government support, and spend my days protesting against those that have what I had... uh, ok, maybe not...

I am proud of what I have "earned" through hard work, "learned" through mistakes, "recovered" and moved on and up... I grew up poor white trash in a trailor house and I am now living in a nice home I own making in excess of $100k. I worked hard for all of this. I have been down, up, down, and up again over the last few decades. And, I have learned a lot of lessons.

All of this "fair share" talk is politically motivated, especially the "class warfare" rhetoric. This is an interesting read about taxing the rich, short and succinct, I like it. I will let you determine whether you think it is the truth. I think there are a lot of government handout addicts out there, who, in many cases, are fully capable of working. Sorry if that pisses you off, get over it. Live in those areas, walk the walk, then really think hard about how you can get out of that situation. You have to WANT to get out... period.

I believe liberals, who like to give this money away, are trying to keep the addicts addicted, probably so they can continue to be elected to office and have the power... er, and MONEY. I believe conservatives are more likely to give their money away (yes, a larger proportion to churches, which some say isn't "real" charity) where it will make a difference along their social/religious beliefs. Conservatives have fallen to the same power problem that many in politics have, which gave birth to the Tea Party; or as FWM likes to put it... Teahadists. Because, as everyone knows, liberals are peaceful and only conservatives can truly be evil.

Oh, someone mentioned that they haven't seen any "poor" driving Escalades and talking on a Blackberry, nor how that is possible... oh, ok, sorry. I guess around here, their are better off "poor" than were ever you are from. If the car isn't in your name, you don't have to claim it, if the money is gained illegally, then you don't have to claim it... But if you live in Section 8, receive welfare, receive WIC, children are classified Title I, children receive free breakfast and free lunch, then I can only think the USG thinks you are "poor". Then when you come by in your pimped out Cadillac, not even saying high to your kid when they get in the car because you are too busy talking on your BlackBerry; by my definition, you are not monitarily poor, but socially and family poor... I see it all the time... Look around you and open your eyes.
