Post Your "12-Month Personal Rate of Return"

12-Month Personal Rate of Return: 19.01%

I'll take it:p.

If I can keep that rate consistent I'll be endowing public libaries to small cities:nuts:

JTH...

Quicken will give you your IRR (Internal Rate of Return) for any length of time. Your IRR is always less than your annual return because it factors in estimations of contributions. Very nice. I believe the Personal Rate of Return is an IRR. Very simiar to annual returns if there is only one breakout period...

If you want to play with your own returns for more years use the Money Chimp CAGR calculator and formulae.

Thanks buddy that was actually a sacastic jab at the previous bear market not being reflected in the 12 month rate of return. :D

My 2010 Annual say I made 16.97% while the tracker says 15.02% it must have something to do with the loan I paid off early.

Anyways I'm at 21.47% for my 12 month rate of return. It could be better, could be worse, been playing too much defense...

35.56 when I checked today (Feb 14th)... I think they update it the first week of each month.

BTW, the government TSP web site now has the 2010 Annual Paticipant Statement as of today. Mine shows 34.28% for 2010 which is very close to the TSPTALK tracker for 2010. This TSPTALK site Rocks!!:cool:

I somehow managed to hit 6.85% even though I moved around about 8 IFT's last year. Two of those were for big losses and by October/November I was sitting at about 0% so I was very happy with the 6.85%

But my last twelve, not last year, looks like I am at about 12.5% so I must have done something right last January/february.

Clearly, I have no clue? I read, tried to move in on fear and out on greed -but I really suck. With reading, thought and logic -0.83

just plain scooter now
