Poolman's Account Talk

I know this doesn't answer your question but in 1972 I started with $1K and worked it from there. In March '09 I was down $1M in devaluation but I held my asset base even adding to it and rode the bull all the way up. I've been through numerous bull and bear rides and I try to make progress each and every time. I anticipate a $6M long market value by the end of 2011. 2012 is wide open.

Well It looks like the train left the station today. If your aboard Awesome, The ride should be pretty good. Now We need to see how High we go in the next couple of day's. This will give us a sense of the trading range for the summer months.

Gotta get back to work. :)

Let's hope it is a long train ride and not a short jaunt. :worried:

I jumped in - probably just about the same or lower level than you or JTH - not as prime as BigBully, but I chickened, needed some better confirmation than just technicals/overselling, and it came today in the form of a retail # surprise. I sure would like to stay under negative 5% for the first 6 months of the year. How's that for low expectations?

Alot of anxiety about the string of 400K lately, how about a surprise there this wk? That would be something.

Amoeba, I'll be impressed if you can hold onto this specific alloacation for more than 5-minutes. :cheesy:

JTH,

I think amoeba is finally determined to ride on the Grand Trunk Railway - I'm sure if he sticks he'll reach 0% by the end of July.

Wow, we have the same number of IFTs ... 27

I'd have more but I quit doing < 1% moves for a while. :D
Gotta make every move really count.

Well It look's like the Train had a false start. It had to come back to the station because it had a bunch of flat tires. hahahaa

Actually the market is not looking to bad as I type this (Dow Down -80). Dollar index is not going to help the I - Fund.
It's still early and it would be premature of me to go back to the G - Fund now. We need to give the markets more time to figure out what it wants to do. It could be that it is going to stay in a tight range but Wal Street wouldn't be satisfied with that for too long.

I will stay in unless the S&P500 1255 gets breached on a close.

It's these times that I get occupied (work) and not let my emotions tie me up in knots and depress me. I know my limit and I'm sticking with it. Also I only watch CNBC enough to get the news once and not over and over and over again. Because honestly it will depress you. I know it does me. :o

What is that saying that Oscar Says ?

Emotionsssssssss Outttttttttttt, Stopsssssssssss Innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn !
So True right now.
If you don't have a plan right now, GET ONE....

Ok, Back to Work :)

Hi Poolman,

I'm with you - I thought the train had left yesterday but if we close below 1255, time to get out. Once the 200 day SMA is breached, things could get ugly for quite sometime and historically, it has not paid to be invested when price drops below this level. Disappointing as I thought we were headed back to the 50 day EMA yesterday but oh well.

[SUP]Looks like Amoeba posted two IFTs today.[/SUP]

I mentioned this a little over a week ago. I am leaving tomorrow with my neighbor on a 5 day trip four wheeling. We are going to Hatfield McCoy WV (The rockhouse trail expedition).

I am not sure what the Internet Connectivity situation will be like so I don't know if I will be posting the videos. If not I will be back this coming Monday and resume then.

Take Care and good Luck!

Thanks Nasa,

I got back late last night at about 10:30pm. I had a very good time. I was pretty shocked about how much less expensive everything was. Regular gas $3.27/Gallon. I get back here and it's $3.59/Gallon.

Hey I don't know who all know's this but I was introduced to a Killer App for my I-phone while on my vacation. It's called Gas Buddy. Pretty much wherever I am and I need gas I just look up on Gas Buddy for the cheapest station. I used it on the way to West Virginia and on the way home and I figure with the amount of gas I bought I saved about $20.00

And now back to the Videos :)
