Poolman's Account Talk

Hi PM. Congrats on your upcoming milestone, post #3000!

As you close in on it, did you want to keep your 'Top Return 2008' title or change to 'TSP Universe'?

Just in case, send me a PM if you want it changed. TY

Hey Guy's,

I'm sorry I've not been more active recently. I've been very busy with my Handyman Business. I have become the property manager now for 3 homes right around my immediate area. A good reputation, Credibility, Honesty, and being reliable spread very fast by word of mouth. I have not even advertised myself and at times am more busy than I wanted to be.
Me and another guy moved a family last Sunday from bristow to centerville using my Van, 5X8 Trailer, and allot of muscle. I guess you could compare it to 2 guy's and a Truck. I charged $75.00/Hour. We worked 6 hours and made 3 trips between the two homes. After a very healthy tip The lady wrote me a check for $700.00 and was very thankful for my services. I wish I would have become a Handyman several years ago. I love being my own Boss and my own schedule. It's nice starting the day at 12:00 noon if that is what I want to do. :)

Frixxx, I agree with you and I will keep the title I earned in 2008. I still think back to that trading year quite abit. It was definitely scary. I look at the congratulatory letter that Tom sent me and my wife framed that is hanging on my office wall everyday.

Thank you Frixxx for the vote of confidence and Thank you Tom for running a top notch Forum. I am proud and honored to be a part of the team. I will continue to post the vids on a daily basis and if there is ever a day that they are not posted please realize that I probably just did not have time that day but it will be done early on the following day. There have been a couple of those day's this year that where very close to them not being posted but I did manage to get them in with my at times busy life.

those are some very encouraging words!!! i have about 3.5 yrs till I'm eligible to retire and i have been thinking that Handyman is exactly what I want to do. i flipped a house about 5 yrs ago and did alot of the work myself. sooo i'm thinking I can fix this or fix that at my time schedule without gouging the client, but giving a service at a reasonable price. i also thought that with the baby boomers there is a lot of older folks who need help with repairs and the like. i think that group is being overlooked. good luck and leave some business for me. Hee Hee !

You are a Great Member my friend and we all appreciate what you share with us on a daily basis. I hope your handyman business View attachment 10025 succeeds and you never know, you could be hiring Guys to help you keep up? GOOD WORK!

Congratulations. That $700 should force you to generate a 1099 to the IRS to help Obama with his new redistribution plan. If you want to help the economy recover just ignore that fool and keep it all under the table. The GOP is going to shut down the desire to hire 16,000 more IRS auditors - if they can't do it those folks will be snooping into your business.
