Poolman's Account Talk

With everything I look at I see no reason to exit the G - Fund today and Buy Equities. There is IMO still to much risk. We have the Euro Summit tomorrow and that would be the only thing that I think might be a small positive for equities but still too risky.

Staying 100% - G

It has just been announced that the Federal Government is Closed for a 3'RD Consecutive day in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area because of Snow. I heard on the News that over 1/3 of there snow plows are Broken.

It started snowing in my area about 1 hour ago and now we have 2 more additional inches.

I think they should truck all that snow to Al Gore's house. :D

I always respect your timing, so I'm glad to see we agree. Although I'd much rather be invested and making money, I just don't see an uptrend in the charts, and I look at 20-50 charts daily on all timeframes.

Short-bearish
Intermidiate-Neutral
Long-bullish, but not by much...

I hear what you saying JTH. Patience is a Virtue. I would rather be making money also. We imo are at a critical point of whether we go higher or lower. I'm sure you already see this. We have been making some rather huge swings up or down. I don't want to get caught in the down swing and I will wait until my Gut Indicator Say's "OK there's a 90% chance of making money" to make a move. I'm really not looking at the F - Fund or the I - Fund. I'm looking to make a move either c or s.

To be honest with you I would love to just catch 2% and be out for the month and take a break. But that is not happening right now. So I wait and analyze day after day.

I'm going to post a couple more pictures of the snow around here. It's ridiculous and the most snow we have ever had living in this home after 13 years.

A couple of Pictures. I owe Thanks to a couple of people. Without looking back in my Thread I know Buster, JTH, helped me. Thanks to you and whomever else.

Hey Poolman, cool pics you've been posting of the snowmeggedon occurring out east. I was living in No. Va. when we got hit with the then "storm of the century" in spring '93, but it looks like you've put that storm to shame with this week's weather. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but start thinking about the flooding that's probably coming once that snow starts melting, which it will in a hurry when your temps return to normal. But you're the Poolman, I'm sure you have all kinds of pumps to bail you out.

You gave me a Good Laugh there Nordic. I do have many pumps. But something else you said about when everything starts melting. That could be a problem. I will definitely keep an eye on things around the house.

Thanks ! :)

Man How bad was the earthquake ?
Did it measure on the scale at all ?

3.8

I jumped out of bad and my wife was freaking out. It sounded like an explosion. I had thought that maybe a snow plow had hit the house or maybe the furnace exploded.

I didn't know it was an earthquake until noon when I called in to work. I've never experience anything like that before.

You in that N. Ill. quake, 350z? Strange place to have one, I was expecting maybe S. Ill, but NW of Chicago?

I lived in Southern CA when I was a kid, you get used to it after a few. The bigger ones that last longer still get to you though. anxiety.gif
