I'm wondering about Schiff's Senate race. Since I don't think he's got a chance of being electable at this time, I see three reasons for his run:
1. He believes some calamitous event next year will propel him to being electable at election time.
2. He wants the status as a candidate for public office for some business reason.
3. His ego.
I worry about 1 but hope it's just 3.

Peter Schiff as a Senator will not make much difference in how the government operates. It would be like adding a pebble to a bowl of water and hoping it overflows. He just won't make a difference. That and I have a problem with someone that keeps preaching to invest your money overseas instead of trying to improve things here in this country. As a financial manager I understand what he is saying but as a Senator wannabe that is the wrong message.
