NSurf9 Account Talk

Khotso, a few people have made a "commitment" in words that seem a little ambiguous. I'll recount when we hit 50, but I'll consider your observation now that I missed your "I'm in" as #44. I hope we can all thank you.
Ah, then let me make sure there's no ambiguity. I'm definitely in for $50. Sorry about that.

I told you a while ago that i was in, but am reminding you. 20 years to go, i could use all the help i can get.....even if i have to pay for it.
Ya know..Ive played poker for 30 years, and still buy books on how to learn how to play poker. My dad asks me why am i wasting my money. I tell him "If I learn just 1 fact that makes me $ one time, it pays for itself after that." This game is the same way, if i go on here every day or week and you guys can teach me 1 new thing, I have that for the rest of my life! Now all i need are the IFT's':D

Khotso, your “Better Half” is #45, provided you both are committing together, but not as one.
SilverSurfer, I have you down at #25.

ExtremeWX, I got to go back and remake my list with #s for everyone – so I’m not sure what number you are. Nonetheless, I know you are one of the very best on this board and I’m glad you’re onboard.

JKJohnson, my faux paux. I was tired, my mistake on “new” and I’m glad to have your experience and insight to soundboard my moves on.

McqLives, you may be #46, unless I missed you earlier. I'll revise the list off my sticky notes tonight.

Another 5 “I’m in’s” and it looks like we’re at 50. I may have to go to the Rose attorneys empty handed, but I have great commitment. You people are going to put me to work, aren’t ya.

What is everyone "in" on?

Writing to the Board, ETAC, and the Executive Director will get you no where (or less), as was demonstrated by James' effort back in 2009. The Executive Director and Board already have immunity from all monitary damages it may cause, intentional or otherwise, which is untenable, and 3 million apathetic or clueless TSP participant/members.

The only way, that I can see, is for us to stand-up, demonstrated that we own our own money, and take legal action.

Will don't need millions of members to agree, just a good attorney and a judge that has common sense, else our money and the fund will be sitting prey that continues to be run over with whatever the TSP management sees fit for itself, then for us.

I'm reporting one more l'm in on a PM. Not sure of the count until later tonight.

By the way, I noticed RevShark posted today, but I can't open his thread (proprietary?). I emailed his site weeks ago with respect to our case, he's an attorney, but no response yet. Would anyone who subscribes to his service get a note to him and ask his input on our effort. And, ask if he would like to be in on our effort. He could secure this thing. He certainly has lots to gain and is a member of this board.

Bmneveu, Mapper. GUCHI. VIC, jpcavin, Bronco07:

Thanks for the “I’m In.” I think we at 50. I will post the handle names of all those who have made commitment this weekend.

To all: I believe we may well be at the 50 members of commitment. We will still need a lot more commitment.

You 50 members have given your commitment to contribute funds to evaluate and make a case for equitable injunctive relief of the 2008 Thrift Saving Plan Rule invoked by the TSP Board and its Executive Director to unilaterally restrict all TSP participants to two IFT per month.

If successful, and as a direct result, every federal government employee TSP participant in the United States of America, currently numbering approximately four and one half million members and growing, will have more interfund transfers and the opportunity to effectively manage their own TSP individual fund and thereby enjoy a richer retirement.

In this effort, I am honored by your commitment and will do my best. NSurf9

And for what it is worth, I know a few others that don't post here (some of them lurkers) that have indicated that they would put in as well. Let me know what transpires and I will reach out for them if you wish.

How many IFTs are you going to try to get? Unlimited? I doubt that would fly and having been here when we had them, I think it can be a hindrance to most people and I know of no 401K type retirement accounts that allow this. Trading every day will not only drive you crazy, but it'll make you fat and lazy as well. I know!!

I think a better chance of gaining approval would be given to asking for just one more IFT per month. This would allow two round trips into equities per month. The best scenario that might get pushed through may be to have any move into the G fund NOT count as an IFT. This would allow two months into equities or bonds per month. For me, it would mean no bond moves, but I would be more than happy with just two moves into equities every month as I normally get two buy signals per month.

Anyway, if you aren't going waste time with trying to get unlimited moves back, I'M IN!! :)

Some type of rollover system for IFTs might be nice too..............;)

I agree with Mike (IT)! If you agree with this...I'm in, as well!

I think 4 IFTs a Month, IFTs to the "G" don't count, and change the deadline to 15:30. When you barter it's better to ask for more than you want and maybe you'll get what you need.
