Paladin... I was only trying to be helpful to others on the site. I had NO intention of misleading anyone. Like I said, I talked to them yesterday and again today, and they told me the same thing both times. Next time the the market is closed but the TSP is open, I'll call and ask to talk to Sally!!!

Don't mind the discussions. There has been a lot of discussion about the issue from the newer members. It keeps everyone on their toes.
Anyone remember what happened at TSP.gov last Veterans day, a federal holiday? Were the US markets open? Was TSP.gov open for business? I remember because it threw off the tracker dates, and was a pain to correct.

I wanted to express my appreciation to all those who made the effort (successfully or not) to clarify this situation for the rest of us. As for me, I'm betting on Sally being wrong. (Don't laugh, it's possible.) I'll probably post an IFT by noon Eastern tomorrow for $h!+s and giggles. If it doesn't post COB Friday, what have I lost? I can cancel it or change it up until noon Eastern Monday.

As for the following:

Calm down, what difference does one day make in the realm of all things considered? If you aren't in by now, just kiss your gain for Monday bye.

That one day, even if just psychologically speaking, is a big deal. Wouldn't it be great for just one day a year to actually know how much the shares are worth that you are about to trade? And better yet, you might already have a good idea where they are going to be the following trading day based on those overseas markets that are still operating.

Hey it's like this..........how can TSP buy or sell anything when the market is closed? The market has to be open in order for them to buy or sell what you want. They don't has a "special buying or sell when the market is closed deal" for just tsp. That would be against the law.:worried:

Is that tsp call center in CONUS? LOL:laugh:

Now the F fund...........................bond market is open, :nuts: and I don't know the answer.

I guess the key is to always talk to Sally because she seems to be the only person there who knows what is going on!

100% "G" COB Today. Markets seem to be at the top of their channels FOMC tomorrow. Don't think it looks good for interest rate decrease this time. Dollar down OSM Up (mixed), might +FV today. Taking proft if there is any today, have to watch that - FV tomorrow afternoon (maybe). Pluck, Pluck!!!:laugh:
