How many folks held true to their 2008 New Year's Resolutions? How many even remember their Resolution? It's just something I've always wondered about.
I can say for the first time ever, I made one and stuck to it in 2008. My Resolution, if you can believe it or not, was 'No more watching CNBC!'. Yep, I've done it. Blocked completely off the cable box so even if I got a jonesin' for it in 2008, it wouldn't be possible to access. What a great idea it was after looking back and thinking of all the time I was wasting. Basically, I said to myself, 'Has CNBC helped make me money? Has CNBC benefited me in any way?' I've learned so much more in reading the investing classics and the opinion pages of WSJ than I could ever dream of learning in trying to be the fast money.
Looks like this Resolution will most likely become a permanent fixture.
Anyone else have any New Year's Resolution success stories or plans/goals for 2009? Hey, if anything it might be funny to look back on in 2010 after it's written.
