We did not receive our new account info before the 9th. Many calls and promises mailed on the 5th, 10th, 17th until today we were told 2500 members did not receive their account numbers. "We are working thru the night and everyone should be mailed by 10/25!!!!

Their evil plan to enforce day trading restrictions is working!:D

But really you may have missed on on some money...I on the other hand have lost!:D

Today after two requests I had my account number faxed to me. I eagerly tried to log on to the web site with the account number, and my previously mailed password, and it did not work.

Seems to me that the TSP people have our money and are in control of it. I cannot do anything until I get my new password mailed to me. What is the improvement over the old way of accessing my account, when I am told that they have mailed my account twice --- which I never received, and now the password I got does not work?

Are the evil Republicans now trying to steal our TSP money like they have tried SS under some evil disguise of the TSP system not being responsive to the TSP owners? Or, are the TSP managers, properly mailing the account numbers, and the passwords, which are being intercepted by some other evil entity, to keep us all from being able to apportion out money as the stock markets tank, and the bankers run off with our money?

Stay tuned for the next episode. I am not a happy camper.

Or maybe some unscrupulous democratic campaign contribution sent in the form of a check signed by an unemployed illegal alien.

Please...change is necessary to protect your interests. If it wasn't for the dishonest, we honest people wouldn't have to go through this.

This sounds like a conspiracy. You may want to break out your tin foil hat to protect yourself from the evil Bush administration's mind control. It's worked for this guy...

The latest projection is that after another decade, and an estimated $2.4 trillion wasted, the guy above will still be at large. No doubt that our hard earned money will have to pay for this in the long run, for the mistakes of those who promised to deliver, but never delivered the jerk in the picture.;)

I too feel that the EEEvil republicans are in league with the one eyed nun. "Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, social security, the TSP, and Ballys fitness; and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows." So who exactly is in this society you ask? "The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, The Bushes, The Clintons, *and* Colonel Sanders before he went **** up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee *beady* eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!" "

tsp.gov is an IQ test that we all have failed to pass...those who have seen the illogical nature of the system have moved on to the private sector...those who didn't pool here like chicken in a bucket :laugh::laugh:

It is my understanding that tsp FV's are decided by using a cattle prod on george steinbrenner and counting the hairs that fall out..believe it laddies... it was in the enquirer

come on...keep em commin...this filly's not broke yet..

I can see that the conspiracy theories run rampant...republican, democrats, econimists, french guys named Goulet....But really, have we looked at the Wile E Coyote theory? Is the road runner keeping his the canine's TSP account number? Has anyone really bought stock in the ACME company? Are we just pawns in the government conspiracy we know as civil service?

In the infamous words of Benjamin Franklin

But in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.

Who is having trouble receiving their new TSP account access information and what did you do? I did not receive mine, so I called. TSP said it had been sent, but they would send a second one. I have not received it either.

i have tried twice with no luck,if i don't receive it on monday i will call again---that's all i can do

It sounds like quite a few people are in this same boat and TSP is probably regretting they ever made a change. I call the Thriftline for share prices and the recording mentions how backed up they are.

Dell,

I never received my new account number via the mail, as they claimed to have sent it. I had 20 minutes left to make an IFT and I could not log on. I called the ThriftLine and the lady on the phone told me that they could not give out the new account numbers over the phone. Rules, you see.

However, she offerred to fax me my last TSP Statement. When I asked, what good does that do for me right now? She quietly mentioned that my account number is listed on the statement.

The light went on in my brain and I requested that my last statement be faxed to me. She then mentioned that it would take 24 to 48 hours, I complained about not being able to make an IFT, blah, blah, blah. She just laughed and said to wait by the fax, the 24 to 48 hours is just a rule they must state.

Anyway, I got the document within five minutes. It had my new account number on it, and my old password worked. I didn't make the IFT that day but I did get my account number.

Give them a call and ask for your last statement, by fax, and then stand by the fax machine.

Please tell me, Pogo - Our USPO is only accountable from the PostMark, right?? - so obviously, it wasn't the postoffice - the metered stamp would not have a date on it - so you have saved face, ...and the Office Help can claim the date of the letter - !!!
I find it interesting, tho, that maybe they ran out of the `BestBuy' self- sealing security card-type envelopes (or they got worried that folks who hadn't read a previous warning by a Valiant Poster here were throwing them away) and had to go to Routine white ones??? I would not have given the `card' a second thought had it not been for just happening to read a warning posted by - whomever- of the odd appearance of a TSP mailing! :)

Thanks for all the info. I just got off the phone with TSP again. The lady told me NOTHING has been mailed out since October 4 due to computer glitches but the problem was corrected and they have begun the mailings again. Definitely not the Post Office's fault. The lady also told me no one is more frustrated than she is.

Dell

Per TSP, the envelopes are white, not blue. They have the TSP logo on the envelope.
