New account numbers

Someone sent this to me via email. The info may have been posted already, but just in case...

I'm still frozen out of my tsp because they still haven't mailed me my new
account number; here is a tip for your users if they are experiencing the
same problem; submit a request for your account number to be mailed as per
their instructions on the web site; it will say to expect it to take up to
10 days to be mailed (unbelievably they still must be using the pony
express; and I thought that was stopped about circa 1870); Do NOT; I repeat
do not WAIT... Wait for a day to get into the system then call them at
877-737-7473 and enter option#3 and it will ring once and then it will seem
like dead air but be patient and eventually you will get a HUMAN on the
other end; tell them you are thinking of retiring/buyout/loan etal whatever
and they will FAX you the info within 24 hours; yes you have to find a fax
and it will take a little time but its better than waiting THREE weeks; of
course you could just call them right away and ask for a fax but they may
blow you off for skipping protocol...anyway good luck; but don't WAIT

Finally, I got my account number!!!!

I got it today, but I got it only because I requested that it be mailed to me. I requested it on the Account Access webpage.

Wow, something has gone very wrong at TSP. Let's see, they change the account numbers before they send us the information??? Then, we can't get the information from them unles we request it. And, when you request it, the information arrives three weeks later. Mine was dated 10/9/07.

Hey, maybe this is why they want to charge for every IFT, so they can hire someone to stuff envelopes.

It took me a long time, but I finally memorized my account #. I've been carrying my tsp account# card in my wallet and it just didn't feel safe.

Well today is 10/31/07. (I wish this board would also provide dates of the postings, but it dows not!)

I finally got my TSP account number mailed to me, but it was in a white envelope, not on a blue card. My guess is that they never mailed me a blue card with my TSP account number, otherwise--- I wonder who got it? Makes you feel that your money is secure doesn't it?
