Both sides at fault here and all they are interested in is getting the other side out of office. They really do not care about us. It is all about them and how good my party looks. Seriously, do these fools want to go through this again in 6 months?? Really??? Well every one of these idiots needs to be voted out of office when their time comes around, from the president on down, every republican, every democrat and them tea party fools. Off the soapbox, thanks.The Asian market wasn't good and Europe not looking any better. Not looking forward to another 2% plus loss today.

I'm back!!!
OK folks we have gotten away from venting about the debt ceiling to complaining about other things we currently have no control over. So the current format will shutdown at 9:00pm EDT and go back to the normal (if you can call it that) nasa1974 account. If everybody behaves I promise to open my account again for a civil and lively discussion on some other topic.

MAGNIFICENT SUNSPOT: Double sunspot 1263 is a whopper. Its two dark cores are each wider than Earth, and the entire region stretches more than 65,000 km from end to end. Yesterday in the Netherlands, Emil Kraaikamp took advantage of a break in the clouds and "a few moments of steady air" to capture this magnificent photo:
"To image this monster, I used a 10-inch Newtonian telescope capped by a white light solar filter," says Kraaikamp. He used the same setup to photograph nearby sunspot 1261. The clarity of both images is impressive. Note the granulation of the stellar surface surrounding the main dark cores. Those are Texas-sized bubbles of plasma rising and falling like water boiling on top of a hot stove.
The magnetic field of sunspot 1263 harbors energy for powerful X-class solar flares. Because the sunspot is turning to face Earth, any such eruptions in the days ahead would likely be geo-effective. Solar flare alerts: text, voice.

U.S. recovers $180 million in cocaine from sunken submarine

"MIAMI (Reuters) - U.S. authorities have recovered nearly 15,000 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $180 million from a sunken submarine-like vessel used by smugglers off the coast of Honduras, the Coast Guard said on Monday.
The crew of the Boston-based Coast Guard Cutter Seneca intercepted a self-propelled semi-submersible vessel off the Caribbean coast of Honduras on July 13..."
